North Stand Construction Discussion

It was great to get feet on the ground and the first pieces of Ductwork in the air over at the Etihad Stadium this week. We started the project with a productive workshop looking at the different Fire/Smoke Dampers and installation methods with the manufacturers that we will be using throughout the project. The site set up for the lads looks fantastic and the new stand is already looking impressive and we can't wait to see the finished product.

Imagine what the North stand will look like when the new tier is full of seats, the roof is on, and the skywalk are visible next season.
Call me old fashioned If you like, but i imagine it'll look like the expandeded North Stand .

There is a what looks like a 15mm de-moulding chamfer on all edges, but yea agreed, looks great and sharp. The fact they have managed to avoid any noticable chips during transport, craning and installation is well impressive too.

is that the north stand ?

There's a slight kink in the side wall as can be seen in SS Skies great drone footage. The slope of the upper tier doesn't change at all.

Is it me or is the incline different on the upper part on that first pic?

It is not the incline, it is the angle of the king inwards. The stand comes back in at a different angle. I.e the slope is the same but the geometry along the x axis is different and on the photos the change is evident.
