He won’t give a shit about that. If it came out he’d either pretend it was AI or be proud of it. Either way his supporters won’t drop him. Might have made a difference in 2016 but not now.

Germany has reached the 2% in 2025. The potential future chancellors are discussing rates of 3% to 5%. Realistically it will be around 3% as long as the SPD is somehow involved and it will grow over several years but it's already at 2%.

Also, Germany delivered 10000 drones.

Putin makes it abundantly clear that Europe and the EU are not invited to the talks and his spokesman slams us in a speech.

For a guy who claims the war is all about NATO creep I’ve no clue how any talks will lead to NATO troops being allowed near his border as peacekeepers and worryingly, the rhetoric from Russia that Ukraine must become a demilitarised zone is clearly never going to be acceptable to anyone, Putin aside who I’ve no doubt would abuse that and walk in again whenever he felt like it.

The world waits to hear what comes out of Saudi Arabia but they’re not peace talks, it’s an attempted carve up I fear.

Didn't the Polish Foreign (Defence?) Minister say the other day that he's seen the US negotiating stance and whilst it's risky, it's bold (or something like that).

I agree that it doesn't look good, but there may be some vital pieces of info that we are all in the dark about.

And until I hear otherwise, I've got faith that Starmer, Macron, Scholz and co. will do the right thing by Zelensky.
 
If peace is somehow achieved and putin remains in power how long before another dissident is murdered in the UK ?
The Salisbury Novickok poisonings weren't the first and only Russian terrorist attack to happen in this country, they were just the first to be widely publicised.
In 2006 Alexander Litvinenko was poisoned with radioactive polonium.
They used to just hang them from London Bridge, I presume they got bored with that method.
This isn't just about peace in Ukraine, it is the whole of Europe that needs to remember who the enemy is.

RUSSIA ISN’T SERIOUS ABOUT PEACE TALKS
The list of negotiators and stated aims from the Kremlin indicate that other than Lavarov, none of the team Russia is sending is talking about peace and have no close relationship with Putin. Russia’s own briefing notes indicate they are there to ‘re-establish a relationship with the United States’.

This means they are trying to lay pre-conditions before they really talk, and I’d bet they will ask for certain sanctions to be lifted as a gesture of goodwill. Of course that would be a mistake. They also state that they are only preparing the ground for a possible 47/Putin summit.

In addition yet more Kremlin bile has been directed at the sovereign nature of Ukraine - which they have stepped up trying to make it seem like it never existed as a nation. This has to be ignored as completely irrelevant. Delegitimising governments, ethnicities and so on has long been a Kremlin ruse.

Overall Russia is not seriously
engaging. If the Americans think they’re there to talk peace they’re in for a rude awakening. This is what Russia does.
Drag things out, put impossible asks on the table and look shocked when you seem surprised because surely, you know how important this is to them?
That makes you think you have to do more to get them to even engage.
Every last point will be ‘but we cannot do without this, it’s impossible’. And every time you give an inch they will take a mile.
Nobody from the US side is ready for what’s going to be laid on them.

According to the French publication LeMonde, Greece plans to transfer its 32 F-16 block30 fighters to Ukraine. At the same time, this article repeats word for word information from 2024, which stated the same thing, but which was denied by the Greek Prime Minister.

▪️After the information surfaced again, it was refuted by the Greek publication OnAlert , which stated that Greece is not going to sell its F-16s at all, even in the future, as it has decided to modernize them. @Ukrainejournal

tbh I have an open mind. I think he might actually be good at negotiating deals, just by being a dickhead if you know what I mean.
Sometimes a fresh approach is needed, it will be interesting to see if he makes any progress, but I expect even if he does it will be short term and come undone in laters years. We will see.

I read this sort of thing and just despair. How anyone can watch Trump Vance and Musk openly support neo-Nazis in Germany, Putin in Russia and Tommy Robinson here and conclude that yeah, those guys are playing 4D chess to get a good deal here is completely beyond me.

I did none of those things? I certainly dont think they're playing 4d chess. Not sure how you came to that conclusion from what I said.... I actually said the opposite - I think he's a dickhead.

A tad reactionary. But thats the problem with today.
