The **** can't say anything without lying. Europe have now given more to Ukraine than the US and they've sent around 120 billion not 350 billion.
 
I never expected this level of anti-Zelensky stuff from Trump. This is on another level.

I keep thinking that I want to hear a European leader hit back but maybe it's best to say nothing and see what else Trump comes out with.

Will be very interested to see what the opposition in the US make of all this. Surely, at some level, there will be some push back against the crazy line that Trump is now following?

Can't see a world where any European would accept this view.
Especially a guy pandering to Putin, a man who is scared of holding any free election.
 
Trump, archetypal bully, really doesn't like the little guy standing up to him.

Because Zelensky is everything Trump wants to be but can't be: brave, admired, strong.

Don't envy Starmer, who presumably will be making one last, utterly doomed attempt to have a sensible conversation and assume shared values.

Only question is how he'll react when Trump dies the same to him he has to Zelensky.
 
Trump just makes decisions based on his own power base. In his latest outburst he is backing Zelensky into a corner. Basically accept our terms or we will not provide weapons or aid.
Zelensky can only turn to Europe to plug the gap and after a period of low growth and inflation after the pandemic; Europe will split.
I can't see that Ukraine has an alternative and Trump will get what he wants

Completely agree. And does anyone actually believe that the US will uphold any security guarantees it gives or will abide by Article 5 if called upon?

Anyone thinking they will isn’t paying attention or is hopelessly naive.

He may well, but once Putin starts to populate Ukraine with Russians, Gorilla warfare will thrive
