Russian invasion of Ukraine

It's interesting how Russia views NATO peacekeeping troops in Ukraine as unacceptable but everybody else is supposed to view hostile Russian troops in Ukraine as fine and dandy.

If Trump can't work out where this is going then he's more stupid than he appears.

Simple fact of the matter is, without increasing taxation, we aren't increasing spending. So he needs to break what I guess was Labours main election pledge. Whether he's willing to risk that at this point is questionable. I'm hopeful, but not confident

Second: You don't treat an ally like Trump has just done with Zelensky/Ukraine.

Fourth. Russia is in serious trouble economically and is running out of Stuff to stand a chance of winning this war. The offensive has clearly slowed to a crawl. Indeed Russia is starting to lose a little ground in many places now.

Was never a fan of George W Bush, far from it, nor his old man - but can you imagine either of them behaving in such a way? 100% mate and things are happening exactly as we feared when we were texting in November. I’m still avoiding the US politics/Trump thread like the plague solely for the reason that I’d probably get perma-banned within ten minutes.

It’s all so fucking depressing.

If America fuck off Europe should switch off X, they are basically a rogue state aligned with Russia now, don’t let them have a platform to spread their shit over here. We need all European leaders to convene a press conference I don’t care who leads it but all stand there and say we back Ukraine and USA needs to leave our shores.

I put a message on there last night saying,
"it's pointless engaging with them as they voted for him so their option is next to worthless. They are directly responsible for Ukraine being thrown to the wolves and making Europe somewhat less safe, So fuck them and their useless fucking options."

I'm fuming as well, but we need to be cool and have to be smarter than that (except US troops would be a security issue to Europe).

We still have aspects like nuclear shield or intelligence/recon to keep in mind and the time frame to become independent - if possible.

We already know how to handle trump and his chaotic admin where the one says this and next says that. We must use that mess to our favor.

This could be part of the reason Vance and co are suggesting the UK does not allow Freedom Of Speech - so if we dare shut down X they can say 'told you so' and Reform can take the mantle at being the most outraged.

Can it not be put to a public vote?
Most people i know say X is a cesspit and wouldn't miss it.
Most of my interactions/views are by links posted by others. I don't visit by direct choice etc.

Would show Trump/Musk/Putin real democracy in action.
