Greetings to fellow City fans from Czech Republic, my son was going through a chemotherapy for over half a year was granted a wish from a local charity organization. He chose to visit the game tomorrow. He's a huge ManCity fan, and especially admires Haaland. Would be great if he could play at least few minutes.

Hope you create a great atmosphere in the stadium so he has great memories from the game

Hope your son is recovering well from his treatment. Against the Bin Dippers it's usually a good atmosphere. And they don't beat us at home very often. Can't promise you Haaland plays it's unknown at the minute. It's too late now but if you informed the club a while back with your sons circumstances am sure they would have assisted in making your son's day special. CTID

IMO, it is an utter myth that Gvardiol is a poor defender.
If you get turned by Messi, join the club. Mbappe, the same.
Time and time again, he has saved our skin. Occasionally, he does something daft - big wow, he's in his early twenties.
Going forward, as good as it gets. Defensively, he is sound, but can develop.
We are blessed to have such a player.

Completely agree, not denying he has the odd brainfart, but nothing major. He is a reliable and most importantly (say it quietly) fairly injury free player.

Anyone who thinks that Ake and Stones were better defenders than Gvardiol when they were 22 is clueless. Stones wasn't 1st choice at City until Dias arrived, he was 26 then (Pep preferred Laporte and Kompany over him), Ake wasn't 1st choice until he turned 27-28.

Gvardiol is our most talented defensive player by far (if we don't count Rodri as such a player).

Their record over the decades — incidentally, some of them, I say some, as murderers at Heysel — is quite unlike anything else I know of in the history of English football. Remember the young girl in the South Stand who was injured by a cup of coins thrown from dippers in the level above?

Arsenal fans can be twats, granted. But it's a minor irritant by comparison.
Slot seems sound. And Salah, like it or not, is one hell of a player. If we'd had Salah at the Etihad during these years, we would have been simply unstoppable. Salah and Haaland is a fearsome thought.
But LFC fans alone would make me want anyone except them.

Assuming that this is still about Gavrdiol - even in Qatar, the writing was on the wall, in terms of his defending.
I remember an already ageing Messi, running with the ball, untouched by Gavrdiol just back-pedalling as he does, before turning Gvardiol inside-out for Argentina's 3rd (I think) goal.
A liability in defence.

In midfield, though, he looks a different player entirely. I always feel that something is likely to happen when he's attacking. Something good, I mean :-)...

Agreed, Messi did spin him, but that was on the touchline in a LB position (he was dragged onto the wing) and for me that's his major weakness, 1-on-1 vs a winger.

I don't think he has the composure nor passing range to play in midfield. Even the Stones role would be difficult for him, he'd lose a lot of balls.

I think he’ll end up back at CH playing a role similar to a fit John Stones.

Their fans are despised across Europe. I have met lots of foreign fans during numerous Euro aways with City. The hatred of LFC fans is high because they have trashed their cities time and again. I heard this from Spanish, Italian, German, and Belgian fans. It is not the club they hate but the fanbase.

I understand but Liverpool likely lose Salah and Tront and Van Dick will be a year older. Arsenal are young, if they win it they'll be over the hurdle mentally and could be a problem.

Arsenal won 3 title in a row 1933, 1934 and 1935. In the 90 years since then they have never retained a title. If Liverpool collapse and Arsenal get over the line then, just like when it last happened in 1989, they won’t win it next season.
