I think you're confusing corrupt with incompetent?
tbf neither is acceptable, while i will agree with you that alot of it is down to incompetence, this one i do think has the stench of corruption about it and the reason i say this is because the var specifically told the ref to focus on the lesser challenge of maguire when there was a clear angle of de ligt pulling youngs shirt plain as day, there is literally no reason for the var to focus on that other than inherent bias and therefore corruption, var specifically says to go with the onfield call unless there is a clear and obvious error and there is no way that anyone can say with good conscience that the ref there has made a clear and obvious error.

Agree entirely. They should stick with the onfield decision where possible. VAR should not be there to try to overturn the refs original decision. Nor should it be there to help validate a clearly wrong decision. The ref had given a penalty. The VAR probably thought it was dubious but that is not grounds to direct the ref to change his mind. Shit reffing all round I'd say.

I stand by what I said earlier. Premier League would be gutted if utd were relegated. They're a huge part of the cash cow. But we sound like the Dippers on RAWK when we say that there's corruption at play. If the refs are corrupt then they are not very good at it. Otherwise, why are utd languishing in 15th place?
Don't worry your pretty little head about it, you just keep on happily living a compliant and obedient life in your safe little normie world where you unthinkingly accept everything the government, the authorities and the establishment spoon-feed you about the way the world works.

Life remains much simpler that way.

what is quite concerning from a refereeing standpoint is why did VAR think it was dubious, like i said there is a video angle plain as day of de ligt pulling youngs shirt, its a foul by any metric, its massively concerning that VAR didnt think that was a foul and questions should be asked why they didnt, this is my problem with refs, they are never pulled up for not applying the laws of the game incorrectly and that is literally their only job.

football of course is bent, there is no doubt about that, even if you ignore decisions such as yesterday, there is just entirely too much money and too many moving parts to believe that it is all on the up and up, statistically it is quite impossible, what i hate is that it is laughed at as a big joke rather than the issue that it clearly is, the line trotted out that you just dont get decisions like that at the swamp or klanfield should not in any way be acceptable in this day and age.

Not being silly.

You're obviously convinced the PL and their paymasters the Broadcasters are all entirely decent, honourable and worthy institutions with entirely fair, just and transparent operating processes, who in no way have their own commercial interests as their priority and they simply wouldn't entertain the notion of engaging in any form of unethically biased or favourable tactics to preserve those commercial interests.

Given your stance on this I'm guessing you're also of the opinion that the 115 are all entirely valid and justified charges?

Also how do explain the PL being found to have acted unlawfully with regards to the recent ATP case?

Or the unprecedented £75m that the PL have just granted united in "exceptional spending allowances" to allow them to remain compliant with FFP/PSR.

All just incompetence as well?

With no hidden agenda to act in a corrupt and unjust fashion, favouring certain clubs whilst persecuting other clubs?

Never assume anything about somebody

I see all the papers are back to clutching at straws and desperately hoping Sheikh Jassim will come riding to the rescue again.

All still pumping out the narrative that he is somehow buying the club personally and it's nothing at all to do with the Qatari State.

Even though his personal wealth is only around £1.6bn... and he happens to be a member of the Qatar Ruling Family, oh and he is the Chairman of the Qatar National Investment Bank, no no no... he's buying the club entirely with his own personal money and this wouldn't be the State of Qatar buying the club at all.

I'm not assuming anything without it being based on first hand observation of your firm and consistent opinion on this particular issue.

Unless all your posts on this issue are you just wumming and acting deliberately contrarian... in which case, well done, you got me to bite and reeled me in properly!

It amazes me how many people fall back on the it’s incompetence not corruption line every time VAR is manipulated to help the cartel. Even the biggest VAR cock up of all happened because they were trying to help Liverpool, but didn’t listen to what the on field decision was. One simple question about the rag game yesterday - same incident and decision at the other end, would VAR have intervened and denied the rags a penalty? Not a cat in hells chance, and that is why it is corrupt.

when the bidding process was happening, they repeatedly asked for proof of funds, it never came, the thing which i dont understand is where the rags are coming from, they act like the glazers have never spent any money, yesterdays lineup was 580m , the prob is they have spent it on crap, its nothing to do with not spending money and they genuinely cant see that.

Just seen the non penalty yesterday and shock horror VAR failed to show the ref the conclusive angle.
Still what do you expect

Yep I've made that point numerous times.

Qatar spent 6 months during the due diligence phase using the very best forensic accountants and auditors possible to scrutinise united's accounts and yet they still couldn't establish a clear picture of their finances or debt levels.

And yet the PL are quite happy to accept any figures that united's accounts department briefly wave under their nose when it come to FFP/PSR compliance.

Dermot will be on soon enough " we'll the first shift pull wasn't long enough there an unwritten 3 minute rule the second grab was just that all part of game young .made most of it
Move along nothing to see
