He’s actually played okay … but one crucial error leads to a corner from which they score.
No it's because he contributes fuck all while commiting fatal errors regularly, there is no point of him.No worse than most others yet gets the most criticism despite being a kid that's learning the game.
Playing "okay" means nothing if you constantly commit those errors. He’s actually played okay … but one crucial error leads to a corner from which they score.
he was isolated with the ball. No help at all. Foden watching him from 30 yards away while he struggled. A quick sprint by Foden would have given him an out ball. He’s actually played okay … but one crucial error leads to a corner from which they score.
Fucking hoof it then or try to, we ain't tiki taka kings anymore.he was isolated with the ball. No help at all. Foden watching him from 30 yards away while he struggled. A quick sprint by Foden would have given him an out ball.
Don’t get me started on Phil …. has the drop off from a PotS ever been this huge?he was isolated with the ball. No help at all. Foden watching him from 30 yards away while he struggled. A quick sprint by Foden would have given him an out ball.
They targeted him with their press and they were right to do soNo worse than most others yet gets the most criticism despite being a kid that's learning the game.

I have no idea what game people are watching. He's made some good tackles on Diaz and won us the ball back in the centre of the field a few times.
Not perfect no, but have the senior pros been any better? It is harsh to single him out.
Like I said the reward isn't worth the risk, if he was good on the other end of the pitch we'll have to live with the errors but he isn't.He's made some good tackles on Diaz and won us the ball back in the centre of the field a few times.

Outside the mistake leading to a corner(no one was showing for the ball), although he still should have just smashed it out, he played great.
And therein lies the problem. He gets muscled off the ball every time he plays and often as not it then ends up in our net. It’s a design flaw that can’t be rectified and it’s mind blowing that Pep keeps selecting him, expecting something differentHe’s actually played okay … but one crucial error leads to a corner from which they score.

No he didn't play great, he did fuck all on the ball as usual, though tbf the others did nothing too bar Doku.I have no idea what game people are watching.

That’s why Gvardiol hardly gets any stick. Not been great defensively but has scored some big goals for usLike I said the reward isn't worth the risk, if he was good on the other end of the pitch we'll have to live with the errors but he isn't.
