You'd think he'd lock in after how poor he was at the Euros, but he's just carried on sulking for over half a year at this point.

If he hasn't been benched at all at this point, it's just not going to happen. Unfortunate because we have players who can offer more at the moment rotting on the bench.
I don't think he's sulking, I just think that maybe real life has caught up with him for now, he's a kid in my books with massive talent, he'll come back.

Has he been carrying some sort of an injury throughout this season? We all know how fantastic he was last season, which makes it even more baffling.

Felt quite hopeful in the first few mins as he took a shot on the half turn but he just offered so little today. He was swarmed by dippers every time he went into the box.

He’s fallen off like the whole team. It’s more pronounced in Phil because his standards were so high last season.

Don’t know what else to say, I still back him but he looks lost. Even his first touch magic seemed to desert him today.

Then that's on the manager for continuing to play him through injury and piss poor form. We have others on the bench who will actually play harder, but you can't keep giving Foden chance after chance to turn it around.

I just don't enjoy watching him play - his whole game is centered on getting the ball on the half turn and shooting. There's nothing else. He's not creative, he's not dictating tempo, he's not stretching teams etc.

As said on the matchday thread... he's our Marcus Rashford.

Stellar early seasons, followed by a sharp decline to anonimity on the pitch.

He's been absolutely awful this season and hides for 90% of the time in big games.

Time to move on while he still has decent value.
This is a ridiculous comparison. If he’s still off form this time next year we can have this conversation. He’s been class for years. The whole bloody team is awful this season.

I've thought the exact same myself

Came through the academy, been given a golden handshake, and now spends most of the game with his arms in the air moaning at the rest of the team, similar to what Rashford was doing at United

Similar comparison is the way people love to say he should be playing 'x, y or z', rather than just accepting that he's just not consistently good enough

Final comparison is he'll chip in with some great goals which will largely mask the fact he's been anonymous for 95% of the game

He's awful to watch. Has virtually zero impact on games other than the odd shot.

He looks like he's lost interest in the game and needs a fresh challenge.

If we get a 100 million offer for him the club will be tempted to take it. Shown no desire this season at all

At least when he was having a bad game he would offer something around the box with a quick turn but now the ball just cannons off him

Yeah he was great last season but the player that used to glide past players when he came through, doesn't seem to be there anymore.

Probably why he's struggling in an England shirt.

No argument from me on how crap he was today and Wednesday but I don’t think he’s been this bad the rest of the season, although clearly it’s not been a good one for the lad.

But I think Rashford comparisons or saying he should be sold are unfair and massively premature after he dragged us to the title last year and has been very good ever year before that.

Fewer assists in the league this season than Ederson... Should be rested, as he offers very little.
