Whats the point of informing your soldiers during a war that they are no longer belong to this army !

That's a little hyperbolic.

It is common for clubs to tell players towards the end of a season or contract that they will need to find new clubs. It's part of the game and the players know this.

It gives the agent time to find the right deal for his client and it helps the club to organise their summer window. City can't sign new players if the existing players can't be moved on.

Out:

Ederson, Walker, Stones, Gundogan, De Bruyne, Grealish, Phillips, Nunes, Mcatee.

In:

Costa, Cambiaso, Diomande, Ricci/Valera,Wirtz, Delap.

Would keep Kova for an extra season to be honest unless a big offer came in.
Id do Camara instead of Ricci/Valera, and see if there is a better option than Cambiaso, but otherwise looks good.

I like Delap back more and more, to retain the target striker up top the team is use to, as well as having the option to go Delap and Haalabd and just whip in crosses to 2 giant freaks.

Ricci, Valera and Cambiaso are the seemingly chosen ones mate hence me putting them down. I genuinely think Delap would fancy coming back and Erling needs more rest/help to keep his peak form so Delap would get plenty of gametime fighting for titles as well. £30m buy back is a steal as well.

Ive not seen any concrete links on Ricci or Valera? I thought you were just saying who you want.

Reply with a link.

Agree re Delap, 30m for who is very likely going to be Englands future striker, we would be stupid not to do that.

We surely have to keep some experience around the place? Losing most of KDB, stones, gundo, Ederson, Bernardo, walker, kovacic, Grealish all at once would be crazy!

I think we should keep stones & give him the ledley king treatment; light training & 1 game per week maximum. There's a few in there that would still be great squad players also, depending on their desires

It's all about the wages tbf .

I just don't see a world where Delap comes back when if Ipswich get relegated he can go get himself a starting spot at any of Chelsea, Arsenal or probably Liverpool.

And neither of those clubs are going to let us buy him for 30m and then buy him off us for double.

Sadly with the exception of Ederson (own choice), we have lost them anyway, compared to a the triple season, hence the mess we are in now, Rodri's ACL has exposed it even more.

Oh, I agree. His contract would be £60m to pay up.

The only way he leaves is if Chelsea no longer want him. (Or a Saudi mega offer)
some chelsea fans claim that palmer and some other players do have release clauses (maybe ucl related). 100 to 150m mentioned. no idea if true.

Not if they’re all old and fucked.

If he’s good enough to start for 2 teams who are currently better than us, he’s good enough to rejoin us.

I think in a lot of their cases they're appearing fucked because they're being relied on for most games when they should be taking a bit of a back seat, I'd say most of them could do a great job once a week or off the bench... But they'd have to halve their wages which would be the issue
