PL charge City for alleged breaches of financial rules

The absolute Gaul of the man
Reminds of Julius Caesar's argument with Pompey the Great, after the latter said Caesar couldn't have a 'Triumph' welcome in Rome for his successes in the Gallic Wars, as Caesar's forces had only killed 10000 enemy troops.. Caesar argued he should be feted as it was actually 20000 dead, because 'away Gauls* count double in Europe'..

(* What's that? UEFA has changed the rules..?!)

(..and all right, all right.. I'll get me coat..!)

Pep , take a fucking bow, Classic. Watch the press conference.....1:01 in the video....and then again 6:00

This illustrates perfectly why the club feel that they do not have to respond to every accusation leveled at us by the media.

In that second question (6.00) we heard the reporter actually answer his own question: "do you think that these accusations are because of the ongoing success of the club and that MCFC have destabilised the established clubs?"

* I'm paraphrasing

The media know exactly what is going on. Look at Chelsea, they spent a Billion in one transfer window but they've won fuck all and are struggling to finish in the top four (no threat whatsoever). If we were still trying to break into the top four after all these years and won the occasional league cup does anyone really believe financial fair play and profit and sustainability would be getting this much air time let alone exist in the first place?

1st, his last name is 'Crook'. 2nd, he is a Yawnited fan from London which means he is a living stereotype. And yes, he straight up gets his info from a random social media posts so it's very generous to call him a 'journalist'.
I think he’s from the South Coast. He hasn’t got a London accent, sounds more like one of those Portsmouth/Southampton accents.

Frustrating when even the alleged experts and journalist call us state owned.

Also Tebas saying we are hiding stuff outside CFG in marketing and Scouting companies I get there not clubs but I am fairly sure there still inside the group

Also no mention of his political leanings or hatred of Arabs in any of the discussion

They are inside the group and are included in the FFP 'reporting perimeter'. Furthermore they cross-charge the clubs for their services, and these are part of our operating costs.

So what’s his angle ? Throw mud ? Idiot ? Liar ? Or combination ?

You only have to see the difference in reporting when Sheffield Utd were taken over by Saudi owners & Newcastle to see how blatant it is about protecting the 4 Cartel clubs.

This is all we know so far, afaik (from Cunningham, i sports):

"City have a lot of companies in their group which lie outside the City Football Group structure, extra companies where they put their expenses,” Tebas said.
“These other companies lose the money but not the club itself. We have reported Manchester City to the EU. We have the facts and figures.
“We asked for City to be checked. It’s very important that all clubs are subject to the same transparency rules and governance on both the sporting and financial side.
“The City case is one where we believe they have put the losses on the companies that are not officially part of City Football Group.”

I suppose he could be talking about Fordham, for example, and any other things like that (if such other things exist) but that is peanuts. I can't imagine the EC wasting any time on that sort of immateriality. And I doubt he has facts and figures any more than UEFA had facts and figures. Anyway, we will see in due course, I suppose.
