Hard won match. These are never easy. Sill dont think Lewis is part of our future. Mcatee for me won't make it at City.
I don't think we would have been as they both rely on pace and it was very congested in thereI dont reallynknow what your point is with that. The game moves on very quickly, teams that dont adapt fall away. We've seen all season long that we are devoid of chance creation if we dont have a winger that can beat a man. Both those players were on different levels then and we also had a sprightly gundogan, a kdb that could power past anybody on the planet, a foden that could dance past defenders, Alvarez and mahrez who provided guaranteed energy, creativity and goals. We're not close to being the same treble winning side even if most players remain.
Had either of doku or savinho started that game tonight we'd have coasted it from start to finish instead of making it an effort.
In Robin's Nest, he was Albert Riddle the one armed waiter .Was he Kelly, with 1 arm?
I'm confident we would have given the ball to a doku/savinho much quicker knowing that they want to run at their marker. no point pinging a ball out to bernardo or grealish to give them a chance to go 1v1 when they're just going to back them up and pass backwards. No point debating hypotheticals though, I'll leave it there. We're through which is all that matters and we will need to be considerably better to reach wembley again.I don't think we would have been as they both rely on pace and it was very congested in there
He wanted Haaland to start :-)Keep digging
Made it interestingReally enjoyed that, especially with them getting the first goal. Made it a real game rather than what some thought would be a walkover.
Ake getting injured is part of his matchday routine!Or Ake say...
Damn, never mind.
Today really highlighted how poor we are with Gundo, KDB and Bernardo playing. I used the analogy today with my mates watching the 3 play together is like watching that soccer aid shite. You can tell by the way they move the class they had. But it’s like watching football in slow motion now. They’re totally totally finished. Games like fucking Plymouth are a struggle because they’ve got no legs at all
They both take on and commit defenders, which we didn't do in the first half.I don't think we would have been as they both rely on pace and it was very congested in there
Whether people agree or not, I bet they can’t find a single game where we’ve impressed with them playing this season. I’m happy to be proved wrong, but they can’t.You’ll be in trouble……a lot of bluemooners won’t accept/agree that 3 of our best ever players have turned to shit/just passed their sell by date…one season to far for all three
I agree. I just don’t see it with mcatee. Distinctly average and we should trade in cone the summer. He’s not taking his chances when he’s playing and even his substitute appearances he’s not doing enough to make pep play him more often.Hard won match. These are never easy. Sill dont think Lewis is part of our future. Mcatee for me won't make it at City.
KDB scored the 3rd goal and assisted the first goal. Clearly he's past his best but he was a big part of our win today as was Bernardo who I felt played wellWhether people agree or not, I bet they can’t find a single game where we’ve impressed with them playing this season. Father Time is unbeaten and always will be.
The MDT is an abomination invested by hysterical ignoramus’s who don't attend games. They are wind up merchants. It’s their thing to do that makes their lives happy. Pretty sad really.
Grealish, did you watch a different match?Another happy soul.
We were playing against the bottom side in the championship and struggled like mad. It’s been a recurring theme whenever 2 of those 3 have played together all season, let alone all 3.KDB scored the 3rd goal and assisted the first goal. Clearly he's past his best but he was a big part of our win today as was Bernardo who I felt played well
I watched a match where we won 3-1Grealish, did you watch a different match?
We did, but for me I think keeping a clean sheet when we’re still very fragile at the back is important. Not a shame for me. We raised our game after that.
