I like Huijsen and Schlotterbeck (not Vanderson so much), but very expensive though as we’ll probably sign a keeper and at least two midfielders as well
I wonder about the two midfielders based on Peps comments.

Sounds like Gundo stays, and I suspect one of Kova/Bernie stays too, probably KdB gone.

Might just be 1 midfielder.

Agree re keeper.

Which RB do you prefer instead?

The other I rate is Livramento, but that seems unlikely to make happen.

I think only one of Stones and Ake get sold in the summer as they are both homegrown.

Personally, I think Ake stays with him being able to play left back really well.

Don’t think the automatic extension matters that much, I think he’ll leave on a free

RB depends on what type Pep wants. Livramento for an all-rounder, traditional RB.
El Hilali for a defensive natural RB (like-for-like Walker replacement)
Wilfried Singo for CB/RB hybrid. Bit similar to how Akanji is at RB, but even quicker, stronger and not afraid to put his body on the line. All 3 of them are good defensively, suspect it will be Cambiaso though, who’s better than all of them going foward, but inferior defensively

Singo I used to want as well for being a CB hybrid, but looks like our fullbacks are either going wide or tucking in.

Cambiaso I forgot about, hope the price isnt the ridiculous one I saw a while ago, otherwise I dont mind him filling LB and RB.

At this point he is in the same position as Stones...wonderful player and apparently a really nice person as well but we cannot afford to have him in the squad - he cannt stay fit and like Stones as good as he is we need players that are available week in week out

Let him go for a nominal fee and someone will take a chance on him

Stones and ake both need to be gone in summer as we cannot keep going through this week in week out .

Perhaps, with Johnny, our most skilful defender in the back line. Both, unfortunately, are made of Waterford crystal. That's just the way it is, and I greatly regret it.
We've got to look to the future, now. We already are, in fact — Reis, Khusanov, Echeverri, O'Reilly possibly, Rico possibly — these are the future.

The result of having a small squad for the past 4 seasons playing at the highest level and consistently reaching the latter stages of every competition.

Pep has always liked having a small squad whilst simultaneously complaining about the number of games in a season.

Even our most durable defenders Dias and Akanji are breaking down, it's not the players fault, Pep has only recently admitted that a bigger squad is needed going forward. Rodri was used like a bar of soap until his body broke down, fans were predicting a serious injury for him in summer 23. We need to be patient with Stones and Ake, they should be given squad player roles next season and our new young defenders should NOT be ran into the ground.

The club is well managed, but the squad planning and management since 2023 has been poor imo (pretty sure the charges are part of this)

Kinell. No wonder he’s been fucked.

Playing for months for a fractured foot.
We should be proud of our squad. What is evident is that multiple players gave 200% this season, playing through injury and pain or coming back even when not fully recovered.
Shows you what mentality they had.

Well it all makes sense now. Ake stays, man was putting in good performances with a broken foot for fuck sake

Terrible from Pep, getting a seriously injured player to start games.
Dreadful squad management.

Be it down to his failing to size the squad properly, his failure to manage it's age profile, or his inability to use the youth and EDS.

2/10 Must try harder.
