Was really pleased to see the way he greeted and spoke of Zelensky yesterday. It would have been unconscionable for him to do anything else. The King’s actions are telling too.There will no doubt be consequences for us (and others) for picking sides here.
But it's the right thing to do so well done Starmer.

Trump will be beside himself with rage at the thought of Zelenskyy being treated the way he is and the fact he has an audience with the king. He expected the UK and Europe to grovel to him.Not overtly, but Trump will see yesterday as him picking a side.
I can see this notching up another level or two this week.

But I don't think it will work. While Starmer supports Ukraine and Zelensky, Trump will see that as opposing him.

Personally I can’t see Trump agreeing to anything Europe presents, at least not initially. Not a criticism of Starmer, but Trump’s ego won’t allow anything else to progress.

The problem will be when Europe don’t offer any concessions to Putin, that will not sit right with Trump.
If I were Zelensky, I would state any mineral deal with the States is not only dependent on security guarantees but an announcement from Trump that Russia were the aggressor.
Trump and Vance won’t last 4 years in office the way their behaving.
