I do not take War lightly but you cannot ignore what is happening in Ukraine.
When would you get involved or at least when would you want the UK to get involved ?
After Poland had fallen ?
France ?
Putin will not stop at Ukraine, he may not invade countries, he will simply interfere with elections to ensure his puppet is in place.
Once in those countries do you think he will leave the civilian population alone ?
How many people have already fallen out of windows on the 14th floor ?
How many Ukrainian children have been sent to re-edcucation camps in Russia.

Oh and those that think it will end with Putins death are very naive.

Germany never even learned how to enrich uranium. The idea that Germany posed any direct threat to the US homeland is not supported by any serious historian I know of. As was said they couldn't cross the English Channel.

Huge sacrifices were made by both the US and UK in the world wars, and we'd all do well to remember that.

I heard someone say on Sunday Brunch that 4%of leaders are likely to be psychopaths or Sociopaths. Vance changing his beliefs for power doesn't surprise me. We have leaders in this Country who have done the same

The obvious name to put forward regarding changing sides is Boris Johnson but, none of our leaders can be compared to these 2 evil people.
And, as stated earlier, the problems will not stop if/when Putin dies.
Russia will simply have another evil dictator in charge who could even be worse.
This is why Europe has to stand together. We cannot let Trump divide us, (the UK from Europe.)
Whatever your views on Brexit, this is different. I didn't agree with a European army because we had Nato. Now we desperately need one.

I was only commenting on Vance rather than Trump and Putin. Starmer seems to be a long way from the politics of Corbyn and Churchill changed from the Liberal Democrats to The Conservative party.

So you don’t think that if the USA hadn’t joined the war the Germans wouldn’t have turned their attention to them after they’d finished off the rest, it would only have been a matter of time.

Wrong. In 2014 Ukraine had few forces and could not fight back. Several European countries including ourselves and France immediately set about training Ukraine forces at all levels to bring them up to NATO standards.
