The Welsh had the best idea, they were proposing making lying in their Senedd a criminal offense. I think thats a brilliant idea and I'm amazed (though perhaps I shouldn't be) that it was shouted down.

She was hopeless, whether you like me saying that or not. And blacks also voted for Trump. Are they racist too, or just misogynistic?

If the Democrats had put someone forward that was even half decent they would have stood a much better chance. So this is on them.

As for her possibly being on medication I still stand by it. Based on observation, not any bloody media with an agenda.

I'm sorry but Biden was more than capable of passing executive orders from day one, he was after all the president. It took him years to act whilst the border crossings rose to record levels. He then lost the house and that led to the bipartisan bill which of course Republicans weren't going to support later on given Trump was looking likely to win.

Of course people are idiots but that's the electorate and nobody gets to play the high ground and decide who votes for who. Ultimately if you aren't politically obssessed then it comes down to perceptions and it was very hard to think that the Democrats had a stronger plan. Like I said in my last post, Trump was a lesser evil to many people.

Do you think that had Harris won the presidency including the house and senate that she'd be taking action at the border like Trump has? There's no chance, she didn't even campaign on the issue because she couldn't win. I never once heard Beyonce or the other plethora of celebrities endorse Harris because she was going to be strong on the border....

Presidents can't just pass executive orders on any issue and it becomes law. I know Trump thinks otherwise but he'll find out (as Biden did on numerous occasions) that if you overstep your powers an executive order isn't worth the paper it's written on (or crayoned in Trumps case).

But it is the kind of thing that is going to be required and it might actually need to be pretty Draconian. Better caps on spending, what it can be spent on, what processes you have to go through to spend it, significant consequences for breaking the rules. Etc, etc. I'm coming to the conclusion that irrespective of economic and social policies I'll lend my vote to any party that is serious about meaningful electoral reform, because without it we're screwed.

So 77m people are fascists? I think it's more complicated than that. I think there is a cult of problematic and actual racist people indeed but it's short-sighted and lazy to just paint everybody as one and the same. You're talking from a position of a hate cult in reverse where you're saying that people should vote Democrat or they're fascist/stupid/racist. IE, we know better than you and we are superior so you should be voting as we say.

If the vast majority of the American population see immigration as a major issue and here is a guy offering to sort it out on day one then why on earth would you not vote for him? Remember this is after 4 years of one party doing absolutely nothing about that issue. Harris wasn't campaigning to sort illegal migration from day one was she? Biden could of acted on day one of his presidency but he didn't.

These issues are polarising and unfortunately if there are two options on the table then you should go with what you believe and for many that led to Trump. That's not a problem, it's called democracy. But otherwise yeah let's just call every American fascist because they dared vote for the guy who seemed to give them what they voted for.

The Democrats have been calling their fellow Americans fascists and racists for the last 10 years and yet here we are with a 2nd Trump term. Is it not time to learn and maybe put energy into a plan that finds answers to questions?

Offering simple solutions to solve problems based on blaming minorities are characteristic of fascism. Likewise overthrowing or fixing elections. Exactly what Trump is.

Are you saying that it's fascist to try to stop hundreds of thousands of people from entering a country illegally?

I don't like Trump but he had a solution and well the evidence has proven that it has been extremely effective given border encounters and crossings are the lowest in 20+ years. Had people instead voted Democrat then there would probably be tens/hundreds of thousands of people pouring over the border like they were before?

I honestly don't see really the problem with it at all? I don't see how it's fascist and if it is then every single country in the world is fascist for the simple evil of having a border and enforcing it.
