We’ve been through this over and over again but I’ll humour you one last time
1) To achieve your plan almost half of EL1 would need to be given to away fans. Segregation would then be somewhere in the middle of the EL1 concourse, disrupting things like the Comonwealth Bar and associated seating.
2) the current layout is considered secure with away fans above each other. With your plan city fans would be above the away fans. Whilst we are not at the level of the Scouse our support is not angelic.
3) your plan blocks all exits at the south end of EL1, everyone then needs to exit at the north end.
4) you sit in L3 and think the view is great. I sit in L1 and think the view is great. It’s always gonna be subjective but the club think L1 is worth more.
5) see 2
6) dunno where you dreamt this up from but the Legends lounge has a finite capacity and is nearly always full. So it’s impossible to increase revenue (unless your plan includes an undisclosed option of making the lounge somehow bigger)
The most compelling issue though is that it’s a really bad idea in the first place!
Anyway I’ve expended enough energy on this nonsense now and will retire to my bed comfortable in the knowledge that this has about as much chance of happening as the rags winning the next 4 premier leagues. Please feel free to bookmark this post and come back at me in 2029 if I am wrong on either count. Night
You don't need to humour me fish & please don't over exert yourself, save your energy for your bed time retirement.
The club were comfortable with my suggestion when I met with them last October.
Pros & cons were proffered from both sides with the club agreeing with the principle objective(s), and agreeing to establishing a small internal project team, to work it up to a level of detail that would enable it to be presented to the licensing authority.
The club were guarded re the reaction of said authority...."not keen on changes of ANY kind to ANYTHI ANYWHERE" ( easy street, too much hard work), and that any actual change would be post the opening of NSL2.
It is possible that the suggestion don't materialise into reality....so be it.
What is important (to me), is that efforts and suggestions are put up to the club if they will help the atmosphere, and therfore the team and matchday experience, for everyone.
Finally, I don't need to 'bookmark' the thread and posts. I've succeeded and failed in equal measure during my life and rarely look back with regret, but if you don't stand for something, you'll fall for everything, and that's not how I swing !!
Enjoy your sleep.
