Unpopular in America?
Because he doesn’t give a fuck about opinions elsewhere and I’m not even convinced American opinion counts anymore either.
His goal of being elected has been achieved.
The only people stopping him on his present dictatorial path are the American people and personally I don’t see it as ending democratically.
I do however hope I’m wrong, but as I’ve said before, I’d prefer civil war in the US to WWIII starting in Europe.
Unfortunately both are not mutually exclusive.

I’m sure I’m over egging the pudding here, but his performances on Gaza and Ukraine have me livid and incredulous of how Americans got to this stage. Perhaps he will become a lame duck after the mid terms but I really don’t know enough about the US or Americans in general to rationalise a Democratic end to his tenure, looking from the outside in. The breaking up of the Union doesn’t seem impossible in my lifetime.
