The OSC has decided not to support the City Matters boycott.
What a fucking pisstake. Lost All of my respect them now, just looking after their own benefits instead of supporting all blues.
Incredibly disappointing.
No backbone pure and simple - never changed from the Swales Days , Prestwich & Whitefield - Failsworth & Hollinwood had to break away and form the CSA as they wouldn’t scrape and bow to Swales and his croniesWell, there's a surprise.
Actually, it isn't a surprise.
Withdrawing from my OSC if any money I contribute goes towards them, I've messaged my chairman to find out.Latest from the OSC on the current boycott/strike from City Matters reps, that a majority of 6/11 are currently sticking to - which means Kevin Parker, as OSC Representative, is the first to publicly say he won't be joining the boycott.
Seasoncard rep has not confirmed attendance but some others in CM have.Maybe Dante can chime in here but I think I read he's meeting the SC rep this week so hopefully she'll have a stance after that meeting.
Goes without saying that if she doesn't pull out then something dodgy is going on (club plant) or she is no longer fit to do that role
The fact thousands have replied to that survey, the clear sentiment on here from SC holders and the former SC rep backing the walkout, it's inconceivable she'd not walk out right....?
@wearethesouthstand
Any supporters club chairs on here can confirm that they were given a vote on the matter?
I wasn’t there tonight Cov. Had a lot of expense lately so had to catch up with work. (Self employed). There must have been a vote with the Branch heads in attendance. There’s usually a lot there for the OSC meetings.@Timoftheoak
You get a vote on this? Kev saying it was 100% against joining the boycott
It's a puzzling decision which I'd like yo hear their explanation for.
Most Branch Secs would have known this would be discussed tonight because it’s the hot topic (besides 115/130, which wouldn’t get discussed).Cheers for the reply. So just those there then in person rather than each branch sending their votes in
Hopefully some branches kick off and it can be reversed
The final vote result aside.I wasn’t there tonight Cov. Had a lot of expense lately so had to catch up with work. (Self employed). There must have been a vote with the Branch heads in attendance. There’s usually a lot there for the OSC meetings.
Sounds like Kevin has been taking a leaf out of the clubs books in the art of deceptive secrecyThe final vote result aside.
The people running the OSC don't share the actual votes with their members on X, Facebook, or on another social media platform. We don't know what our branch secretaries voted.
All we are told is the OSC didn't vote for the boycott. Where is the transparency and accountability in that?

I wonder if Alan Galley and Kevin P have been given the heads up that confirmation of the meeting on ticket prices is imminent.
