PL charge City for alleged breaches of financial rules

This is where I'm at. I know 3 or 4 people well on the football side and they all basically say the same thing and that we will probably know before they will
Mate of mine played for city still works for city and usually gets a fair bit of info said last week no matter who he asked he can't get a sniff of what is happening.

That's easy. PL can't prove the most serious allegations, big party. PL can prove the most serious allegations, I disappear from BM, never to be seen again.

Win / win for you guys .....

I’ve had a quick go -

Not guilty on most if not all of the charges.

- Richard Masters & Alison Britain (at the very least if not more senior figures) to resign - surely they can't keep their posts.
- City to annouce legal action against the Premier League for reputational damage and associated costs.
- Will the PL want to continue the legal fight and challenge the decision - dunno what grounds would be available and it would only really be the process rather than guilt?
- City to really open up the purse strings for summer rebuild.
- I don't think City will go after anyone in the media from a legal perspective, even if we'd like them to.
- The cartel clubs, Tebas etc to make up new charges and claims, via UEFA.
- A good excuse to relaunch the European Super League.
- The Football Regulator gets a huge boost and gets pushed through with much greater powers.

Guilty on most of the charges

- City board resignations.
- We don't find out the punishments for months so potentially - 6-12 months of speculation on what the punishment will be which will be hell - massive clamour for PL expulsion and trophy stripping.
- Although likely to be big points deduction and transfer bans and maybe Europe ban - which will hit next season.
- If the PL are smart they will only deduct enough points to put City into a relegation battle 40-50 point - so that it plays out over the course of the season.
- Pep to probably resign.
- Nearly all the big earners to go to balance the books - not necessarily a bad thing in some cases - KDB, Gundo, Greals, Stones, Ederson, Kova, - we end up with a very young and hopefully hungry squad. But how do you replace them if we also have transfer ban?
- Minimum 2-4 years out of European competition due to our league position.
- Some sponsors could walk away.
- Huge financial hit which will take years to recover from.
- Essentially we’re totally fucked.

Wasn't wumming at all.
I had a text off someone connected with city simply saying get that champagne on ice. The lad in question knew it was my dad's funeral yesterday and maybe wanted to cheer me up with the text.
I've got giddy and posted khaldoon and soriano celebrating.

Asked my pal is it to do with the 115 and he just sent the wink emoji.

That is all.
I’m sorry to read that about your dad pal, my condolences to you & your family.

It certainly feels that if anyone at the club knows anything concrete at this stage, they're doing their best to keep as much of a lid on it as possible which isn't the impression I got ahead of the CAS verdict. That's not to dismiss what @manimanc said though. I'm sure what he's posted will have been posted in good faith

...but still in a better position than the rags

I may be reading too much into it ..... but, it's no use putting champagne on ice unless it's imminent. Let's be generous and say 2 hours for the ice to melt and another hour for the bubbly to come up to room temperature - at which point the exercise was useless. So by my reckoning we should hear in the next 3 hours?
I like your thinking.:)

Love you Macca.x

Tell you something mate: I watched it for maybe the 25th time last year after about a 10 year gap.

For the first time since the very first watch it didn't quite hit the spot. My brain had exhausted the humour, maybe through decades of quoting it.
I reckon that’s where I’m probably at. My daughter is at Uni and we’ve had a spell of watching plenty of old classic films from the 80’s and 90’s, I was loathe to mention Withnail as I felt it might be one of those that has lost it’s magic having not seen it for maybe 20 years or so.

Sorry to hear about your dad mate. If it's any consolation though we laid mine to rest 10 days before the QPR game, which was one of the greatest days of my life.

Let's hope your news repeats that experience.
