PL charge City for alleged breaches of financial rules

Life is too short to worry.
What will be will be and as Protein Junkie states it will not change our lives. Anyone who deserts the club should it be the worst outcome is not a blue. League 2, League 1, Championship or Premier League we will all still love them as we have before and remember not 1 person can ever take the memories away.

Couldn't agree more - I remember queuing up for the Gillingham play off final tickets and being told by club stewards coming down the line that we might not get tickets even though we were season ticket holders because the ticket office had been letting the first in the queue have more tickets each than they were entitled to !! Luckily we got them before they ran out but some behind us missed out and yet despite everything we still support the blues through thick and thin.

That’s was an hilarious day. I went thinking I’d be in queue a couple of hours - we ended up being there 11 hours! Hadn’t taken anything to drink or eat. However, the banter was great - typical City fans - made the best of it. Remember them writing stuff on various walls as the queue shuffled round the ground -

There was a fear that they would run out of tickets because they were selling 4 to everyone but we managed to get the 4 we needed.

We went and joined the end of the queue, we thought it wasn't bad because we could see the ticket office from where we were, little did we know that it spiralled around the ground.

From 03/71 to date I've been a regular, in fact SC holder barring a handful of years.

I wouldn't say I'd not have changed anything over all those years but, it'd not be that much. After all, the pain of losing makes the winning a higher 'high'.

As for these charges, obviously I want us cleared and I'd like to think we will be. The fall out for the club, execs etc would be massive. In plain sight we can see clubs doing much worse than we've actually been accused of, COVID allowances, spades in Stanley Park, interest free loans...i could go on and on.

If they do manage to get something on us or if we have actually been 'baddies' it'll take zero enjoyment out of the last 14 or so years.

In that respect they'll never beat me and 90+% of us.

The Tribunal are only later focus on the charges.

Nothing else is in scope.

A list of all the other strokes pulled by Littlewoods etc should be compiled by someone on here to for a consitant 'template ' for City fans to use against the media & imbeciles.

It will be a long list !!

Has this been reported to the red clubs so they can claim it is over inflated and drop 130 charges on him. Amd what about his side business with Football Insider has that been reported to Tebas yet?

From memory it wasn't 4 to everyone. I think season ticket holders were allowed to buy an extra one if they wanted as we had about 18,000 season ticket holders at the time.

I was one of the lucky ones regarding that queue. I was a member of the Levenshulme Blues at the time and Bill Black (who sadly passed away recently) did all the spade work in securing the tickets for branch members. All we had to do is give him our season ticket details and the money so there was no need to queue up. However, on the morning they went on sale I went down to the ground to renew my season ticket. I knew it would be hammered with the play-off final tickets going on sale but like an idiot I thought they'd have a dedicated window dealing with season ticket renewals and that I could just rock up at the window and sort it. When I got to the ground I couldn't believe my eyes. I honestly couldn't work out where the queue started and ended. I walked up to a steward and explained that I was there to renew my season ticket to which he wisely replied that I might want to leave it until another day as I'd have to join the Wembley queue to do it!

Yeah probably right but I’ve always had 3 STs so we got what we needed. However I thought after the 8th hour of queuing that they were going to run out. The box office was supposed to have closed but it stayed open obviously & we were told we’d be ok to get tickets. So we stayed another 3 hours.

A great memory !!

Wouldn't have been so bad if the queue had gone through the social club and out the other side, at least you could have had a pint while waiting.
you must have been further ahead than me there was an enterprising women selling bacon barms and brews at one point

Remember jumping on a few of those trips run by Bill Black , although not a member of the Levenshulme branch, that ran from the Wheatsheaf or a social club named after the road it was on (memory going and not my side of town). Sad to hear he has passed away, a good guy. Some very lively trips.
