Nah I am not in that doomsday place you seem to be. There's lots to look forward to imo, I dont understand the doom and gloom. Especially since this season has already gone.this is not a case of evolution. Given the number of players required it's revolution
So given that we need to sign 2 Goalkeepers, 2 Full-backs, a creative mid-fielder as a minimum you have now worries? Also given that only 1 of our recent signings has 'bedded in' are you expecting a fluent side in August. The other major assumption we are making is that Rodri will be the same player after the injury he has had.Nah I am not in that doomsday place you seem to be. The new players we have bought, Rodri back, maybe a replacement for Kevin and we are back on track imo but I tend not to flap lately.
Based on the facts that he knows the Club, he's loved by the fans and he will have had 3 years of managerial experienceBased on what?
No I am not worried. Not yet anyway. We've played for years without certain roles filled. We won a title without a striker. For me it's the players understanding the system that needs to happen. That won't happen in two months. So given that we need to sign 2 Goalkeepers, 2 Full-backs, a creative mid-fielder as a minimum you have now worries? Pep?Based on the facts that he knows the Club, he's loved by the fans and he will have had 3 years of managerial experience
No sentiment in football. He’s done nothing yet to earn the hot seat of City, unless relegating a club is an achievement these days.Based on the facts that he knows the Club, he's loved by the fans and he will have had 3 years of managerial experience
I saw an article claiming that our under 21's were trialling a radical new tactic where the keeper pushes up into the opposition half.Is Pep going to reinvent football again, is he capable of it, I don’t know, the playing from the back everyone does now but they also seem to be able to play on the break, which we don’t do because we don’t transition fast enough. Doku and Savinho aren’t ball retaining midfielders which we’ve had in previous years, so will Pep change this style? We certainly have a front four capable of ripping people apart on the break but that would mean nit having a highline and flooding midfield. I can’t see what he is going g to do next season and will they have time to train it because the club World Cup will get in the way unless he trails an new system there.
Living true to the namesake I guessWe are paying the price for absolutely dreadful recruitment for 2 years and Pep fucking around with whether he leaving or not.
Absolutely no chance we are getting a champions league place - we haven’t beaten a decent team all season and look a complete mess. Bounemouth Villa Brighton far better than us.
Laughable that we are in this position.
So if he were to win The Champions league with Bayern this season as well as the Bundesliga he would be unproven? No sentiment in football. He’s done nothing yet to earn the hot seat of City, unless relegating a club is an achievement these days.
You don’t go from Pep, arguably the best ever, to someone completely unproven.
Ide suggest a goalkeeper tooNah I am not in that doomsday place you seem to be. There's lots to look forward to imo, I dont understand the doom and gloom. Especially since this season has already gone.

Exactly ! How many of the starting 11 yesterday would you say would be a regular starters in a champions league winning team ( if we were to get back to that standard ) - my guess would be one.this is not a case of evolution. Given the number of players required it's revolution

Look at who scored the goals in 21/2. KbD 15, Sterling 13, Mahrez 11, Foden 9, Gundogan 8, Bernardo 8. Now we have wingers who cannot score and are reliant on mid-fielders who also contribute no goalsNo I am not worried. Not yet anyway. We've played for years without certain roles filled. We've had an horrendous year for injuries, we are being in a new spine of the team. That isn't seemless is it. It needs time surely.
I bet you would not be playing Gvardiol as a full-back in that sideHarland.

Gvardiol
We are in dire need of a RB. Been a problem virtually the whole season that position.Nah I am not in that doomsday place you seem to be. There's lots to look forward to imo, I dont understand the doom and gloom. Especially since this season has already gone.

A very good point.I bet you would not be playing Gvardiol as a full-back in that side
