I think they are just deals with schools and sports clubs. Cheap tickets for block bookings.
That is exactly what they are. The sports company is based in Scotland (hence probably so many Scottish kids). I only know this as a bloke down here (Dorset) has brought his kid up to the Etihad when they his local football team have block booked tickets. From memory they got a training session/tour chucked in and paid upwards of £149 quid. Obviously the cost is prohibitive to many.

If more vocal fans move to the back then there's more people infront of them to join in with chanting. Chants spread from the back of the stand to the front and never the other way around.

I think the players would rather have an intimidating home end of 10,000 belting out songs rather than 500 people in 115 clapping along to fleetwood mac.

I’m sorry but this sounds like pie in the sky.

Maybe we keep the 500 in SSL1 for the visuals and player engagement and this can complement this mythical 9500 Ultras the new stand will miraculously create.

I do agree with your wider point about how chants spread. But im in SSL3 and a lot of the noise comes from there but you feel completely detached from the game and players and there is no player interaction at all.

Anyway let’s hope it works out.

£51 to watch Leicester at home on a Tuesday night and then Pep will moan after saying the team need us.

Yet we take 3,000 around the country every week who are all happy to sing and stand. We took 9,000 to spurs for a cup game last year, everyone was happy to sing and stand.

And every year we end up at Wembley where the majority of our 30,000 fans were singing and standing.

Many of these people may want to be in a singing section at the Etihad, but may not have been able to get seats together in 115.

I'm convinced there are thousands of potential singers all round the ground, who don't because the people around them don't.

I'm sure if we moved then in as singles we could get other people who are singles could move about as long as still in 115

It's the returned tickets from Leicester, can't really offer them for £51 , I'm sure they'd love to
Yes but why is half the block one price and half lower? I could understand it if it was cheaper at the back but this is left and right, in two blocks?

EDIT: Think either it's been corrected now or it was previously giving me the wrong seat map when I clicked on 313

115 is not the solution to our atmosphere in any sense of the imagination, in fact it actively hinders our atmosphere.

We've got a major potential lifeline coming up to save our atmosphere, and it's in the form of a big 10,000 seat stand literally designed for atmosphere.

Yeah and everyone wanted it and club are whacking corporate in the middle, they dont want a "blue wall"

The away section of SSL3 is priced at £30. The home section of SSL3 is priced at £51.

The GA+ (Not Corporate) at the front is unnecessary, and a massive low blow to the fans.

I'm just trying to look at the fact that regardless of the 600 GA+ seats at the front, it's still a 10,000 seat stand that'd literally be perfect for atmosphere. Whether the club want it or not, it's up to us fans to get in that new stand and make it our own.

I'd be very surprised if the club priced the General Admission seats at any higher than SSL3. If they do it'll be a huge mistake

That's the whole point. They wanted 1894 and others to move, wanted commitment to sell it to others but no prices, no new season tickets

Liverpool made same mistake, 8000 new seats and only 1k of them were STs, alot of Liverpool fans say atmosphere has suffered

I agree overall with that. Ss1, in particular from blocks 115 onwards doesn’t work as a singing section. It’s too small, it’s fragmented and there’s no room for expansion. Ss3 is a much louder area in my view.

Of course there’s been some amazing times in ss1, but we could have something so much better in the new north stand - if the club listen.

Make the ticket prices reasonable, put more safe standing in (5,000) and we’d have arguably one of the best home ends in the league.

Ideally we keep ss1 as it is and also have ns2 as well.
