President Trump

That is totally different.
All people under the age of 18 are not allowed to vote no matter who they may vote for.
Stating that those over 60 were more likely to vote leave and therefore should not be allowed to vote is Trump at his finest.
You're putting words in my mouth, I never stated that

So basically you're changing the narrative, pretty much what shitgibbon does

In Defence of Trump. (Well not really but some degree of honesty is required)
The Republicans have been trying to close the DoE since 1982.
Ronald Reagan tried it then and it has long been their goal. To show you how stupid Republicans are Reagan called it a boondoggle. WTF one of those is, I have no idea.
Trump is Orange, a racist, a shit gibbon and many other things but this policy isn't his, it's his entire parties policy.

On a side note, Reagan was about 108 when he was elected. He had Alzheimers whilst he was the President. Why is that country so fixated on electing geriatrics?

Surely majority of America are feeling outraged by now ?
The amount of federal workers and how that would affect their family’s, the pro Palestinian, students , war veteran, women, Muslims , blacks … that’s just top of my head. Surely that’s a huge chunk of America that couldn’t possibly be supporting Trump and Musk right now ?!
(Mods - just an observation I'm not inciting violence!)

Surely it's only a matter of time before some unceremoniously sacked government worker, or maybe an unfairly discarded war-hero written out of history by Beavis and Butt-Head has had enough and grabs his gun?

And they know how to shoot...

Dont see what the demos will do, Fox probably won’t show them so it didn’t happen, CNN etc will and it will be fake news or called AI generated or they’ve all been paid to be there like the town halls!

But he won because the naive believed he’d be good for the economy and some of them are now having regrets I’d guess. Hopefully enough of them — but it’s going to be a loooooong two years and if the 2026 midterms go badly for Trump you can bet even more shade will be cast on election results.

Honestly, I think it's naive to depend on the midterms being free and fair elections, and the 2028 more likely than not won't be.

Also there’s so many issues to protest that it could just look to much a mix, could have students protesting about education reforms whilst others are protesting with Palestinian and Ukraine flags - so my different factions might make it look cohesive.

CB is correct. Her speech violates her duty as an officer of the court. Clause 3 of the constitution gives courts the duty to ensure that the executive administer laws passed by Congress fairly. A judge may ask any question to this end. Judge Boasberg is not, as Trump has posted, an obscure judge; he is the judiciary’s prime expert on terrorism having been chief judge of the two special sections which oversee terrorism cases. He is the chief judge of DC federal court and a distinguished jurist.

I've lost count the number of times have I heard the phrase 'the administration may have broken the law' in the media, but I keep hearing it over and over again and nothing happens to those breaking the law. None of the spinless cnut's in his administration will stand up and defend the Constitution that every single one of them swore an oath to uphold.

The Republic is effectively dead on all but paper. It's meaningless.

Played the long game.

At 66 I am a foc.
It never crossed my mind to leave the EU and because I was out of the country at the time of the vote I was unable to do so. The vote was only supposed to be a recommendation in any case.
I also thought that a bigger %age of the vote, maybe 70%, would have been required to get it over the line.
Certainly not 2%!
Somewhere along the line the recommendation mysteriously became set in stone. I doubt that would have happened had 'remain' prevailed.
We are were we are however.
Regarding Trump, what a pity Musk didn't use that chainsaw to good effect when he had the opportunity.
That would have been quite the result....
Speaking to a lot of people who voted to leave, a large number of them thought it was just a vote to let the government aware that a proportion of the country wanted leave. When they woke up the next morning to see the brexit vote had won, a.lot of them were pretty shocked and had thoughts like "OMG what have I done.

Or Bannon and Co with the Project 25 mob will find a way to make the 2028 vote not needed. Hardly 50% of the electorate vote anyway. Could just have it limited to swing counties in swing states and save billions in the name of "efficiency"
They're already trying to manoeuvre that trump could stand and front a third term even though constitution says no.

You're going to have to narrow it down a bit.

Agree I’d go as high as 75% if not higher because a minority of people agitated for a change that affected the future of 100%, especially now we have the internet.
