The other side of things is there’s only so many times people can go to the MUEN and expect the Club’s Directors to come running. If it isn’t escalated to national media, fans protests etc it becomes a bit like the boy who cried wolf.

I feel that these are just excuses as you want to see the best side of the club. I stopped excusing them after Istanbul and the experience of fans was ignored with not even a public acknowledgement. It wasn't just word of mouth that was ignored. There was a comprehensive and balanced report presented to the club that was also to all intents and purposes ignored. They are paying lip service to fan engagement and paying lip service to the strong commitments they made when they took over the club. If they carry on with their current trajectory within a generation we will become a 'global' franchise with little connection to Manchester.
Unless someone tells Khaldoon exactly as it is and he listens.

I’m not disputing Danny is a good guy based on what people have said about him. That said, did he help a few Blues out but ignore the wider fanbase.

It did make national news. Can remember an article from Rob Draper and I sent him my version of events. He went more after UEFA which is understandable, but it would have been worth some mileage if he or somebody else had questioned the club on their thoughts on it and what they intend to do. Then the club couldn't plead ignorance, but I'm pretty sure they're fully aware. Probably had a decent view of the car park situation with their VIP route to and from the stadium.

Unfortunately the clubs relationship with UEFA is more important than it's relationship with its own supporters as it brings them more money. They clearly weren't prepared to challenge them themselves after the already strained relationship of the FFP case and European Super League. There's that saying 'don't bite the hand that feeds you' and we now only give them a few crumbs.

Not really. When I criticised the treatment of disabled fans in Istanbul, I was told by posters on here that it was City staff who were digging wheelchair users out of the gravel and taking them to safety. That said, City should have stood shoulder to shoulder with Alex on his report.

If you are willing to let the Club become a global franchise or fight for it, then that’s your choice. I would be up for protests myself.

My comments were reflecting human nature. People get warn out and less caring when stressed and overworked. That’s life.

Protests, sadly, it’s the only choice and this season.
 
Club could have easily responded to City Matters
a very longtime ago stating that there would be no increase in season ticket pricing. IF, that was their intention. The "reasons" for stalling the meeting, eg progress of North Stand Extension, Charges etc is all just fog. By all means, delay
a meeting where the more nuanced aspects of ticketing for 25/26 could then all be finalised. However, announcing a price freeze at earlier stage, would I am sure led to City Matters still
being fully engaged and not led to OSC fallout.
It seems more likely to me that the Club had no intention to freeze pricing and was hoping the
extended delay would place Club in more favourable CL qualifying position to support, [in board eyes], a modest/moderate % increase.
CL qualifying positions will not be confirmed
for sometime and of course our position could
become more negative too in that time. I would be more than surprised if the Club did not apply
an across the board 3-6% increase for 2025/26.

We are going round in circles. I never hinted I was willing in any post.
Mass protest is the only answer I can think of unless city matters can convince an executive to take up the cause internally.

You may well be right. That said, with Corky’s info about season card prices usually being announced in June, there’s another scenario.

By end March: Court rulings announced and new North Stand roof sufficiently built. Date for next City Matters meet sorted

By mid April: City Matters meet and discuss ticket prices and inform fan consultation on moving to North Stand Upper.

Mid May: City Matters meet and discuss firmed ho
Prices for next season. Club / fans reps agree or Club takeaway for final consideration. If lack of engagement / greed from Club fans step opposition.

Start June: city announce next years ticket prices and final plans for expanded North Stand upper (including priority relocations.

That’s why I gave the choice of “fight for it”. I will leave it there as apart from the semantics, we seem to be in agreement.
 
Anyone know how many of the other 19 teams in the league have announced their pricing already?
