TV Series

Getting through the last of us ahead of season 2. I've played both games, I know the story so I've just never been that bothered to watch it even though I loved the game as its not easily available to me. I'm 6 episodes in now, kind of feels a bit rushed, more infected and a deeper delve into Joel and ellies relationship would have been better but it's still excellently done.

I know they've said at least 2 and maybe 3 seasons to get through the story of the second game, feel like it needs at least that. No spoilers from me but the game was very controversial, there's some big things that I want to see how they deal with for a tv audience. The story in the game was done in a way that suited the game, it wouldn't suit tv so It will be interesting to see what they do. I expect it to be very big when season 2 starts in April.

Just watching This City is Ours.

Three episodes in and it is IMO very good. It's up to date, engaging, the acting is good and the storyline is current and relevant...

If you enjoyed Kin, this may just be for you?
Watched episode 1 and thought it was ok apart from getting my head around Mr Sheffield being the top dog in a dipper crime family!

Reading back a few pages I've noticed JUSTIFIED being mentioned a few times.
It's been out a decade and totally passed me by. Six seasons to binge if it's decent.
Season One of Justified starts out as a "fugitive of the week" show while carefully fleshing out the other characters, and slowly world building the setting of Harlan County. However, there's an episode in S1 "Hatless" where the main protagonist Raylan Givens loses his trademark hat in a bar fight. "Can you keep it down? I didn't order assholes with my whiskey" and he then spends the rest of the episode trying to get his hat back, and that's when the series "clicked" for me.

"Hey Mister, that's a 10 gallon hat on a 20 gallon head."
