PL charge City for alleged breaches of financial rules

Hi, Shirley. My dad had a spell going one week to City, next to the rags with his mate. Both Blues. When I asked him about it many years later, he explained they went because of the City link with Busby and the ‘babes’ were a good team to watch. But he also noted it was a different atmosphere at OT, less humour, a little more ‘intense’. I don’t recall him ever saying anything about actual violence.

When the Munich air crash happened, he said attendances went through the roof and it was a lot more difficult getting in. Think they went twice more and sacked it off; just City from then on.

Not a 'myth', but pre-60's though so maybe different...
I think that Sir Matt Busby was utds' greatest manager ever.
Not in terms of trophies won of course, but the way he acted in the immediate aftermath of the plane crash and the way he rebuilt the team and got them to win the European Cup 10 years later.

could this season get any weirder
Fuck me... Just read the article and had too admit to myself, what a fantastic piece of investigative journalism it was.

I then reread the piece and realised that absolutely fuck all happened.

Can I sue the Sun, for wasting my time?
Will Lord Pannick do a bit of pro bono?

Here's a simple fish pie recipe that’s quick and easy to prepare. Portion into ramekins and freeze for quick toddler meals or cook in a big dish for the perfect family supper.

  • Prep:15 mins
  • Cook:45 mins

    INGREDIENTS

    • 1kg Maris Piper potatoes
      peeled and halved
    • 400ml milk
      plus a splash
    • 25g butter
      plus a knob
    • 25g plain flour
    • 4 spring onions
      finely sliced
    • 1 x pack fish pie mix
(cod, salmon, smoked haddock etc, weight around 320g-400g depending on pack size)
    • 1 tsp Dijon or English mustard
    • ½ a 25g pack or a small bunch chives
      finely snipped
    • handful frozen sweetcorn
    • handful frozen petits pois
    • handful grated cheddar

      METHOD

      • step 1

Heat the oven to 200C/fan 180C/gas mark 6.

      • step 2

Put 1kg potatoes, peeled and halved, in a saucepan and pour over enough water to cover them. Bring to the boil and then simmer until tender.

      • step 3

When cooked, drain thoroughly and mash with a splash of milk and a knob of butter. Season with ground black pepper.

      • step 4

Put 25g butter, 25g plain flour and 4 finely sliced spring onions in another pan and heat gently until the butter has melted, stirring regularly. Cook for 1-2 mins.

      • step 5

Gradually whisk in 400ml milk using a balloon whisk if you have one. Bring to the boil, stirring to avoid any lumps and sticking at the bottom of the pan. Cook for 3-4 mins until thickened.

      • step 6

Take off the heat and stir in 320g-400g mixed fish, 1 tsp Dijon or English mustard, a small bunch of finely snipped chives, handful of sweetcorn and handful of petits pois. Spoon into an ovenproof dish or 6-8 ramekins.

      • step 7

Spoon the potato on top and sprinkle with a handful of grated cheddar cheese.

      • step 8

Pop in the oven for 20-25 mins or until golden and bubbling at the edges. Alternatively, cover and freeze the pie or mini pies for another time.

The way he stood by & let the injured players & their families get evicted……. Pure class, not.

Litigation culture at its finest.
How anyone with 1/2 a brain cell could try and allege an assault when the place has every inch covered in CCTV is beyond me.
None story.
Back on topic.
But, another day nearer to redemption.

Like you I don't remember that at all, memories can play tricks on us but I do definitely remember what I remember.

Maybe some people did go to both grounds regularly but I don't know anyone who did and was a City supporter.
My Dad, who would have been 96 this year , if he couldn't go away with City would go to ushited as much as he could. He told me that lots of City and utd fans would go to Maine Road one week and old scaffold the next.

You eat stuff that lives in the sea? (or rock pools for that matter).
You do know that we pump all our human waste into there and they subsist on it, don't you?

Mmmmmmmmmmmmmm, big woodlice fed on your own shit, lovely! ;)

PS....

Clears throat, stands up, bows head slightly to avoid making eye-contact with others...

"My name is the-ecstacy-of-eight, and on occasions during my 53 years on this planet we call Earth I have attended non-City games at Old Trafford with some of my united supporting mates, mainly whilst at university but also later in life, probably about 7 or 8 in total....

.....I've also been to quite a few PNE matches, both home and away with a mate....

....and County, again both home and away"

...cries, and sits down again.

So ashamed! ;)
