Fair enough, I love murder but I’m a pacifist. I’m a vegan but I love steak. I have an IQ higher than 12 but I watch Andrew Tate every day. Life is full of those contradictions.I still support City and Manchester United.

Lukaku? My grandad fought against Rommel. And he (my grandad) fucking hated United.
I think that Sir Matt Busby was utds' greatest manager ever.
Not in terms of trophies won of course, but the way he acted in the immediate aftermath of the plane crash and the way he rebuilt the team and got them to win the European Cup 10 years later.
Different times back then I know. The way he stood by & let the injured players & their families get evicted……. Pure class, not.
U2Fuck me... Just read the article and had too admit to myself, what a fantastic piece of investigative journalism it was.
I then reread the piece and realised that absolutely fuck all happened.
Can I sue the Sun, for wasting my time?
Will Lord Pannick do a bit of pro bono?
Litigation culture at its finest.could this season get any weirder![]()

It pains me to admit I've been to a few rugby league games there tooOnly time I visited the swamp was the away end at the Derby haha
Apologies, should have explained. One of my nearest and dearest is a retired hack on the evening news Sports desk. 20 plus yearsDon't get it. Why would he know someone at M.E.N? He might be a chancer but your explanation doesn't add up
Hardly recent news either? Not played Southampton for monthsLitigation culture at its finest.
How anyone with 1/2 a brain cell could try and allege an assault when the place has every inch covered in CCTV is beyond me.
None story.
Back on topic.
But, another day nearer to redemption.

My Dad, who would have been 96 this year , if he couldn't go away with City would go to ushited as much as he could. He told me that lots of City and utd fans would go to Maine Road one week and old scaffold the next.Like you I don't remember that at all, memories can play tricks on us but I do definitely remember what I remember.
Maybe some people did go to both grounds regularly but I don't know anyone who did and was a City supporter.
Mine too!'see you later dad, I'm off to Maine Road'.....
Week later..
'See you dad, I'm off to Old Trafford'..He would have kicked my ass all the way out of the house and changed the locks
You eat stuff that lives in the sea? (or rock pools for that matter). Here's a simple fish pie recipe that’s quick and easy to prepare. Portion into ramekins and freeze for quick toddler meals or cook in a big dish for the perfect family supper.
- Prep:15 mins
- Cook:45 mins
INGREDIENTS
- 1kg Maris Piper potatoes
peeled and halved- 400ml milk
plus a splash- 25g butter
plus a knob- 25g plain flour
- 4 spring onions
finely sliced- 1 x pack fish pie mix
(cod, salmon, smoked haddock etc, weight around 320g-400g depending on pack size)- 1 tsp Dijon or English mustard
- ½ a 25g pack or a small bunch chives
finely snipped- handful frozen sweetcorn
- handful frozen petits pois
- handful grated cheddar
METHOD
step 1
Heat the oven to 200C/fan 180C/gas mark 6.step 2
Put 1kg potatoes, peeled and halved, in a saucepan and pour over enough water to cover them. Bring to the boil and then simmer until tender.step 3
When cooked, drain thoroughly and mash with a splash of milk and a knob of butter. Season with ground black pepper.step 4
Put 25g butter, 25g plain flour and 4 finely sliced spring onions in another pan and heat gently until the butter has melted, stirring regularly. Cook for 1-2 mins.step 5
Gradually whisk in 400ml milk using a balloon whisk if you have one. Bring to the boil, stirring to avoid any lumps and sticking at the bottom of the pan. Cook for 3-4 mins until thickened.step 6
Take off the heat and stir in 320g-400g mixed fish, 1 tsp Dijon or English mustard, a small bunch of finely snipped chives, handful of sweetcorn and handful of petits pois. Spoon into an ovenproof dish or 6-8 ramekins.step 7
Spoon the potato on top and sprinkle with a handful of grated cheddar cheese.step 8
Pop in the oven for 20-25 mins or until golden and bubbling at the edges. Alternatively, cover and freeze the pie or mini pies for another time.
I just love(d) football. They wouldn’t let me play it, excep on the streets with the lads and even then they tried (but failed) to always have me as goalie so I had to get my football as best I could. City one week, Trafford next.
I don’t need to defend my love for our team but I am not going to deny what I did in my youth when the world was less judgemental. :-) :-) :-)
Agree but always us. If that “tent” had been our planned new stadium, the papers would be discussing it negatively every day for everthey have to write something to sell the papers must of been a slow news day
