I was at this game. It was the one with snowy weather right?

In (most likely unsubstantiated) rumours a Spanish paper is reporting Saliba will be the subject of bids from Real Madrid and Manchester City this summer.

I can't see any way we sell him to City unless Pep completely loses his marbles and offers a swap deap for Rodri - if he angles to leave then Madrid is possible (non PL club) but that would be something like a £110m price tag and I don't think they'll have the readies.

There was plenty of snow and ice about on the ground. It was bitterly cold. Possibly the coldest I have ever been at a game.

City fans were out in force (sold out). Great turnout when you consider the weather and playing in eth league cup final at Wembley a few days earlier against Arsenal. I think it was reported that the attendance was something like 30k. Absolutely no chance that one in two seats were filled in the stands occupied by Arsenal. More like about 15k, in my opinion.

I remember Sane scoring a nice solo goal. The issue that day was the transport system was down although I just got an Uber there

Err I managed to get there quite comfortably from Frankfurt, all those special little tube trains (that only London has) whisked me to the Emptyrates quite comfortably from London City airport. If you want to see a “transport system down” try the Metrolink on any given matchday.

In what world is Saliba ever going to City?
