PL charge City for alleged breaches of financial rules

hahahahaha, well done Chelsea I guess. sadly their lawyers imo levels better than ours who only help us once we are in the trouble. their lawyers make sure they dont get into trouble despite driving a lorry through the building.
hotel sales last year, woman team sale for 200m and all counts as proper revenue that way it helps with all PSR calculations? YES.
and you can bet they wouldnt hold back on journos if their club would be attacked like City.

Nah they’re taking the piss it’s quite obvious but they don’t appear to be getting busted.

So they’re smart/cute but piss takers.
They're incapable of running a business organically, and will hit a wall at some point.

I'd be very concerned if the club I supported was making such short-term decisions to get through the back door of PSR.

One look at their financial statements is all you need to see that this was a last ditch attempt to get them over the line; what happens next time?

When I was a Chelsea supporter, we were the bad guys. Then I shifted to City and now we're the bad guys.
I know I shouldn't blame myself but it's hard not to. I'm on my third glass of Vino Collapso, already, ffs.
The good news is, I've another bottle in the pantry.

See BBC Football article on their accounts. It looks like they sold the Chelsea womens team for almost £200m. And then there's the hotels. Somehow this is approved but our activity is under scrutiny.
Which just tells me they're fucked as a business, incapable of making a profit despite enormous spend over the last 2 or 3 years.

No reason to believe this gets any better for them.

Yes it’s a shit show, City wouldn’t stoop to the levels Chelsea do which I’m glad about.

Quite annoying looking from the outside they appear to clearly circumventing rules but some how they clever in not breaching rules. Maybe it will catch up with the southern fuckers.

my brain cannot understand how a sponsor paying maybe 50m a year instead of fair market value of 45m is a serious crime but Chelsea woman team sold for 20m or 200m makes no difference whatsoever for Masters and his investigators.

Chelsea are NOT circumventing any rules because the Premier League do not have any rules to prevent this. The PL wanted to introduce a rule to prevent it but it only 11 clubs voted for it (needing 14) and 9 against.

It’s absolutely fucking nuts, mate. The whole thing is fucked in the head.

Does anybody know how City voted on this matter?

Not suggesting they're circumventing any rules, but merely highlighting that they're not a business that are fit for the future financially.

The fact a team that have spent that much money, can't actually turn a decent profit is mind-blowing.

There's no growth at that club, they'll get their day in the not too distant.

Bohley suggested the other day that the value of the club is now greater than the sum paid to buy it

On what planet is it worth more than they paid?

Can't see anything on or off the pitch to suggest it's growing in the right direction.

No champions league football this season would batter them financially.
