FPL - Fantasy Premier League - 2024/25

I've brought Palmer in on the wildcard, then plan to sell him to Saka for the Arsenal double in 33.

The next 3 fixtures are really good for Chelsea attacking wise, he's back in training, the break might have done him good, and I'm a bit worried about Saka's minutes for the next couple of games so it works out well.

What chips have you got left Jim?

Fabianski, Palmer, Van Den Berg and Bednarek on the bench.

Palmer has been dross for weeks now. In GW 21, he got 10 pts. Since then, it's been 2, 2, 6, 2, 2, 3, 2 and 0. That's averaging just over 2 pts per GW. I can't shake the feeling that he's been rumbled. Opponents have got wise to him. Last season, and the early part of this campaign, he was sort of an unknown quantity; opponents didn't know how to handle him. That seems to be over now. But I'll keep hold of him for one more week. He's got (on paper) an easier game than Mbuemo.

I'd still Wildcard, ask yourself what are you waiting for? You could have triple City, Arsenal and Palace against Leicester, Fulham and Southampton this week. All with DGW'S to come, 2 DGW'S in the case of Palace. Keep Salah and do what you want with Palmer and the rest, he's a 3 week punt for me until Saka is nailed again.

Yes indeed. If only we had some advance warning of how good WC30 would be...
I'll have 11 out there this week, but I'm going WC30 as I anticipate price rises over the break, and I'll know all I need to know by the end of it. Is there a chance that the specifics on the DGW won't be known by then? Absolutely, BUT, we'll know they are coming at some point and that will be enough for me.

The only way I do the surgery on my team that I want to do (a planned bye to Palmer and a likely/possible Haaland in) is to do this in GW30, while also bringing in Isak back (lost the least value on him) by removing this week.

I'm at at least 8 players to swap on GW30 WC, and that's enough for me with the FA results and potential reveals being known. Once either or both of AVL and/or City win in FA, that game is happening DGW33 as AVL are still in UCL, so that and the NEW double DGW32 is enough for me to do what needs to be done. CRY and NFO winning in FA if it happens would just be a bonus to my plans, and I don't see the reason to miss price rises to wait until GW31.

You heard it here first. ;-)
ah, that's right, we did. ;-)

(and all of this was BEFORE all the injury news available, which now adds Kluivert to the tally. Brutal.)

MGW flagged as well. That's 4 from my last team potentially out.

Hoping to get news on Saka, if I hear he's starting I'll go with him over Palmer.

Thanks for the advice S.I. I've gone with what you said....

Verbruggen is my keeper. Pretty sure I read somewhere that Wood was unlikely to be fit for tonight. I was tempted to pick Gundogan, but I'm not sure Pep will pick him for successive games in just over 3 days, so I've decided to go with Wharton.

I added in Elanga last night before the rise. I decided to keep him in vs. taking Foden this week as I just don't know what the City mid lineup will look like either this week, or for the DGW33. I can wait on that to get more data.

I moved Kluivert to Palmer as I don't trust Arteta to play Saka through the period to get to DGW33. Given Saka has UCL vs. Real Madrid, I suspect he'll be featured much more there in the short term, assuming he is ready. Another reason I won't cry if Arse gets bounced in UCL. Again, more data by DGW33 will help decide who/if the 3rd Arse asset should be.

9 changes over the WC, so hopefully a worthwhile use.

I've gone with Foden but fucked up with Saka lol.

I'd have had to take a minus to move my Newcastle players and Palmer before GW33 so sort of played safe, hasn't worked out though.

Still had Palmer in the line up 15 mins before the deadline as well.

Going to have a look at your squad when the site is back up.

Bloody hell Jim, you've gone all in on the Arsenal defence. Guaranteed a last minute own goal now.

It's a risk, obviously. They tend not to let in that many goals, though. I'm picturing them up near the top of the clean sheets table? And they're playing Fulham. It remains to be seen how getting schooled by Palace in the cup last weekend has affected them.

I've got Raya and Gabriel as well. Least goals conceded so if you're going triple any defence it's them.

Fuck's sake. A Fulham goal deep into injury time. 8 clean sheet bonus points gone down the plughole. Along with Gabriel going off early, and selling Elanga earlier today. Why the fuck do I bother?

*edit* "only" 4 pts lost. Timber went off on 76 minutes, keeps his clean sheet bonus pts apparently.

Some consolation you still get the clean sheet for Timber, he went off before the goal.

He picked up an additional bonus point as well, so he got 7 points.
