Sunday probably showed why Grealish will leave, came on the pitch, showed superb technique but again could and should have had 2 goals, he simply does not have the belief or confidence to put his foot through a ball and shoot on goal.
Is that not exactly what pep wanted, I didn't see the rest of the team peppering the goal whilst Grealish sheepishly stood in the corner. What use is keep taking some half chance at goal to keep giving the ball back to a dangerous Bournemouth team?

Are you being serious? Tight game, Jack comes in on this right foot, perfect camera angle shows you he has a wide open shot to the far post and he drops it off to a congested area at the edge of the box…!

As an attacking midfielder, even if you’re told not to cough up the ball, you don’t pass up an open shot from 15-18 yards out! At least a player doesn’t!!

tbf, I was at the game, not watched anything back but from where I was stood it didn't look some obvious shooting chance. That being said, he's hardly a goal scorer anyway even when he was flying at Villa and he's probably at his lowest in confidence at the minute.

Outside of that, he did a lot of very good work that contributed to the win, that's good enough for me.

They'll come for Grealish for not scoring, but give Doku and Savinho passes for doing fuck all in front of goal.

Been here 4 season and has one good season when we did the treble and his celebrations which went on for weeks probably show that he reached where he needed to be and won everything he wanted . His legacy will be being for £100 million a major waste of money when he moves on from city but the irony will be that hd will once again thrive when he is played in his best central position something which pep hasn’t done .

If we had any coach other than Pep, Jack would be a regular starter and no chance of getting rid.

He's pissed Pep off somewhere along the line, and as usual, Mr Arrogant won't stand for it.
Mr Arrogant has won 40 trophies in 968 games (that’s a trophy won for every 24.2 games he’s coached). The standards he sets are there for a reason.

McAtee was hauled over the Bluemoon coals after Brentford for shooting from inside the box instead of retaining possession, since we lost a goal from the resulting goal kick. Grealish is now hauled over the Bluemoon coals for retaining possession instead of shooting. We're about as consistent as the team this season.

“They”?

And, btw, their “fuck all” appears to be more than Jack has accomplished in the last year!

Aren't those figures only for League games? Seem to recall Grealish scoring in a couple of Cup competitions. Either way, it's a sorry list and more famine than feast for everyone bar the Norwegian glutton.

Ha, that’s true but in reality both should have shot. Not that you really expect goals from Jack by this stage. He actually did very well in general whilst on the pitch on Sunday. Can’t think of all the times he’s been on the pitch recently but don’t recall him playing badly. The home game against Madrid he’d started superbly before his injury.

Whatever reason he’s not playing much is certainly not down to performances otherwise he wouldn’t have lasted so long here. It’s a shame we’ll never get to see him given a run as a left sided 8 with a natural wide man outside him.

I don't think anyone has reached their full potential this season, be that individually or collectively. Just an interminably long and largely forgettable season.

With no Haaland, Guardiola is going to have to revert to less expansion and more possession in the coming weeks, so Grealish might find yet favour again, though whether that is on the wing or inside remains hard to say. Being on the pitch consistently would be a start.

Meh. Winning things is obviously great fun, but I don't think I'm the only person who has been bored to tears watching robotic training session matches for the past few years.

It's interesting to note that many of our matches this season have been far more entertaining as we give up obsessive control.

Those numbers aren't the zinger the poster thinks they are. Still dogshit output.
