I had been telling myself that the longer this goes on, the better it's looking for us. My logic being that if the result was bad for us, the PL would be singing and dancing about it asap, and certainly before now.

But on reflection that's just blue-tinted specs. The alternative is that it's terrible for us, the PL have said relegation and an X zillion pound fine, and we've said you can fuck off, if you do that we'll sue the arses off you, or start a super league or whatever. And the two sides are now brokering a punishment that each side can live with.

So the bottom line is, we don't have a scooby how this is panning out.
