It means in the first two he is in the top 5-6% of players in the PL, and in dribbling, the top 1%.
Those numbers surprise me. And don't add up with the frustration of watching him with my own eyes.

As I said, I've my views on him at this point. Hope he has some development in him to be an asset for us going forward.

I'm sure he does - he is 22 and relatively new to the club.

We'll see. He's got an awful lot to work on IMO.
People said the same about Raheem. They said Rodri was plodri; David Silva was too lightweight; Yaya was irreplaceable; FFS Mahrez...
And you could write me a long list of outstanding performers this year and there would not be many of ours on it.

Not sure those accusations were that heavy on those players nearly 2 years into their careers with the club tbf.

Being 22 doesn't make him a baby. He was a Belgian international before we even signed him. And now 2 years of prem experience under his belt. He's not some inexperienced pup.
He's a young player with plenty of development ahead of him. You don't have to accept that fact.

I'd love to see him do well at City, however, on what we've seen of him so far, I really don't think he's ever going to be good enough for an elite level club.

I'd say much the same about Savinho who is, in my opinion, a better prospect than Doku.
I disagree, but we share the same hope.
Who do you believe is showing themselves, this season, to be good enough at the elite level?

Its not that I don't accept it. I think he'd probably be a hit elsewhere at another club where being a bit more mercurial is accepted. I just don't see him as the type of player who has the intelligence to adapt to how we play.

More than happy to be proven wrong in time but my view is what it is right now. As is yours.

With you on that. Savinho has shown he has it. Needs to work on his shooting but the rest of his game is already there.
You can say the same about Doku, and the rest of his game is better than Savinho's game outside of shooting. What exactly is Savinho better at than Doku?

We've got two absolutely world class players; Haaland and Rodri

After that, we've got Ederson (leaving), Dias, Gvardiol, and Marmouch who have more or less lived up to expectations this season. Grealish has shown that he can operate in a central position, but hasn't been given enough opportunity by Pep to prove it. He's never been a £100m player imo and will be moved on in the summer.

The rest have been a mixture of past it at top level, injury prone, burned out, too raw, or out of their depth. I think we all know pretty well which players fall into each category.

Personally, I think we need at least ten more top quality signings in this 'rebuild'. That's at least 2 or 3 transfer windows. If we miss out on CL next season, we've got big problems attracting top players.

As I've said many times on here, the 'clear out' and 'rebuild' should have started the day after we won the CL.
