The tarrifs are not a whimsical event. They are not a result of Trumps ego or whatever your TDS thinks they are.
They are symptomatic of wider, more important issues. I think they are the tip of the iceberg tbh.

Us debt can't continue to grow.
Population birth rates can't continue to fall.
AI will do to the middle classes what mechanisation did to the lower classes.
Unfettered migration and population changes cannot continue unchecked.

I think we are entering a period of sustained economic and political uncertainty.

It's not Trump. It's everything.
Here's a good example of things needing to be moved to the right threads.

So Trump is to blame for China oppressing their own citizens? That's some jump there fella.
How do you get to that? Just saying he should have negotiated in private not gone on social media with a tariff list leading to a public standoff.

Eh?
I'm defending your position ffs.
The thread is the FTSE thread. i know everything is interlocked but there are specific threads about both tariffs and Trump. It was merely a suggestion that posts should be moved appropriately. the same happenend with a State Pension thread a couple of months ago. The post I suggested moving was not personal, it was because there was nothing that referred to the FTSE directly. And for clarity, we're all guilty of that.

Oh, and thanks for your Private Message accusing me of "hiding behind the mods". I think there are many on here that know that's not my MO. Neither is your other accusation. You certainly know how to live upto your name both in public and in your private comms with other posters.

You want to talk about the FTSE but not mention global and international events which are having a massive effect on it?
Do you have a list of rules about what one can and cant post because you mocking me regarding twitter seems to be ok with you, as does gaslighting me by telling the thread that you can see why i may be disliked for my comments.

I said to you in private that sly forumming is not cool, so you reply by putting this on the public forum because, again, this seems to be on topic according to your rules?

You do you. I'll join Mexico and take a sabatical else you'll be spamming for thread bans.

Grow up!! I'll do what you suggested privately and "FO out of the conversation" as far as you are concerned.

I put that twunt on ignore a few days ago and it’s been lovely. Even you repeatedly replying to him hasn’t made me curious enough to see what he’s wrong about this time.

The FTSE 100 index in the UK has dropped 3.3% so far today, while the German Dax is down 4% and the French Cac 40 is down 4%.

Move all your cash isa into Stocks and Shares the predictable bounce should kick in a couple of weeks quick 15% growth if you can be arsed
