BBC rewriting history …. AGAIN

Maybe they decided this morning to give that "penalty" for handball near the end of the game that all the commentary teams were wingeing about. All our lads were still in bed and couldn't be arsed going down to the ground just for a penalty so instead of actually taking it we just said "let them have another goal".

Possibly? ;)

I'll never forget Gerrard shouting at Alonso for shooting from his own half at Luton and turning to see the ball go in the net.

I can remember a game at the Etihad were Gerrard spent the whole game moaning to the ref. If I remember City were 2 up at half time and lost 2-3. I can remember thinking that was all down to Gerrard constantly being in the refs ear. Hated the twat even more after that game.

To be fair, hughes tactical genius of putting gelson fernandez right back instead of bringing Richards after zabba was sent off didn't help.

Just playing Gelson Fernandes in the beginning didn't help.

Absolutely the worst and most pointless player I might have ever seen at City. I wouldn't have him over our Division Two midfielders. In fact I'd prefer Martyn Margetson in midfield.

Was that the game we put a defender on the left wing in the second half and completely lost the plot. Think the Spanish waiter was their boss at the time.
EDIT. Think the posters above have answered my question although I don't remember Zabba being sent off if we are talking about thr same game

Usual high standards of fact checking and editing from the BBC. Not as if they could, say, Google the result if they couldn't be bothered to watch the actual game, and nothing stopping them editing it afterwards if it's a simple mistake. Except either laziness or lack of motivation.

Does make you think, if they can't get this right then why in hell would you believe their BBC verify articles about Gaza, Trump or North Korea?

*edit* they've updated the score in the link but not in the title of the article.

BBC News - Man City 5-3 Crystal Palace - the fans' verdict

I found it hilarious how the sky reporter spoke to Bruno at the end of the game. They just got battered and he comes out with the same old shite after every humiliating defeat.
Yet the nobody presenter decides to say something along the lines of... And that's why you're captain well done.
So thats what makes a good captain is it? A few soundbites in an interview, not winning games for your club.

Most overrated player in the league, the media hype train on him is working though all you here is how great he is and where would they be without him? Well they're fucking 14 with him so don't think hes making that much of a difference.

Shay Given, an opportunistic blue if ever there was one, is advising Pep to rebuild the team around Jack and criticising Pep for not giving him enough opportunities - wtf.

He also chucks in a sly dig about letting Morgan Rogers go for £1.5m suggesting he would walk straight into our team - “but think how much he would cost them now”.

Stick to Newcastle punditry Given you geordie ****
Apparently, Bryan King can answer that question. It's £100 million PLUS Grealish in part-ex...

Tim Flowers always seemed to play out of his skin whenever Southampton turned up in the late 80s and early 90s too, can't remember specific matches though, although he never actually played for us (if I'm remembering right - my memory has holes)
He definitely did some time with us as a goalkeeping coach iirc.
