Anyone who slags. Pep off is a moron.
This man has produced the best football by any English team.
And also the best football by any team ever .
If that was city or barca is up for discussion.
He's won the treble with city.
He's managed a team who achieved 100 points for the 1st time ever in the top flight.
He won the domestic treble.
He won the treble.
But I think above all that his team did something no team will ever achieve again.
His side won 4 titles in a row.
The 1st team to do it.
And I'd bet my life the only team in the next 100 years to do that.
What ever happens after that doesn't matter.
If we finish mid table for 10 years running it doesn't matter.
This man put lickle old city on the top .
And then even higher than any team thought possible.
And we did that playing football in a way people didn't think was possible
This man/god owes us nothing.
And never will do.
He is.
And always will be Manchester city's greatest ever manager and also English footballs greatest ever manager.
Europes greatest ever manager.
Probably the Greatest manager ever in world football.
We might never witness the things we did two or three years ago
But we did that.
Pep did that.
He didnt just let us dream he let us do something way more than dreaming.
Pep is and always will be a football god.
Those rag cunts had the pissed up bully and cheated their way to the treble.
One day it will come out how that **** paid the refs
They won what they did playing shite football.
We won the treble playing football people had never seen before.
This man reinvented football.
Invented a completely new way to play.
Influenced teams right down to non league.
If his style now is out dated and new ways to play have over taken him.
So what.
He might think of a new style and smash the league.
Or he might get left behind and we might be mid table for 6 years.
It doesn't matter.
We did it.
We completed football.
And then won 4 in a row.
That was down to one man.
The best pep.
Thank you pep
Rag ;-)
Great post

Owes us nothing? He is being paid handsomely to be our manager. Therefor he needs to perform. This whole idea that we should just be happy is here could lead to our demise. Look at the way Arsenal turned out under Wenger, he was a genius at one point, had credit in the bank and he lead them to mediocrity eventually. I am not saying that will happen here and hopefully Pep reinvents himself again but if he isn't up to it then it is time to move on. Our owners won't just say we have had Pep whatever happens happens. We have standards to still live up to, we aren't little City and if he does continue to play the old guard over new blood, repeat the same mistakes each week and the results back it up then he will rightly be criticized. Everything you list we won is because of him and rightly so, so on that same level this seasons crap, boring football with a huge drop off is on him is it not? He can be questioned, he has to be accountable for the good but also the bad. He gets supported in the stands, even when he behaves like a dick as he did on Saturday so nobody can complain if he gets questioned on the internet.

How did he behave as a dick on Saturday?

Guardiola has won 4 titles on the bounce including a title less than 12 months ago. The standards you're talking about, he set. Criticism is fine because nobody is immune from it. But criticism without context, shouting loudly without acknowledging the fact the standards are Pep's standards, saying inane things like the football's boring, is frankly embarrassing. This post is a great summation of the flotsam and jetsam that exists around City discourse at the moment.

You couldn't be any more wrong. I am not comparing this season to previous years, demanding a title win or expecting a 5th on the trot. It is the scale of the drop off and scrambling around for a 5th placed finish, with the apparent best manager in the world, with an influx of January money sprinkled on it I don't deem good enough. That isn't setting it to his previous standards. The football this season has been dull as dishwater, something I said after the Wolves win which had us top of the league. The results can come and go but I don't want to walk away from paying and watching one of the most expensively assembled squads in the league struggling to create a chance at goal. That has happened countless times this season and our build up is boring and predictable. There is the context, our league position, results and overall performance is where the criticism comes from which you apparently accept, yet clearly don't. Re watch that derby, in fact both derbies this season and once you have rewatched them I can give you about 15 other performances or probably more of that caliber.

How did he behave as a dick on Saturday?
Cupping his ears to the fans after one of the goals. Like the many times he's had a pop at the fans in the past. The love is always still there despite that and the performances this season. We love him and I hope he still loves us, he can be questioned though, he isn't god

Rubbish post regurgitating the same nonsense. I’ll repeat again , Pep has won 4 titles on the bounce. No one cares how upset you are at the drop off or the justification for your crying.

When you say 'has a pop' I think you are referring to him wanting more noise. He is simply telling the truth as he sees it however he would be better directing those comments to Sorrano. Who knows? Maybe he has. He is always very complimentary about the away fans.

Fwiw I agree with you about some of the performances this season. They have not been a great watch. He is a factor in that but not the whole story. Injuries play a big part (at times we haven't had the numbers to put together a decent back 5) as well as a squad that has aged and is running on fumes. Add to that mix the integration of new young players and a drop in standards is pretty much inevitable. I have been critical of some of his decisions but then you look at the team he picked on Saturday and ultimately the performance they put in......

We can criticise but ultimately he has forgotten more than you or I will ever know about football at the highest level.
We love him because he has delivered things to the club we couldn't in our wildest dreams imagine.

He's a fucking fustrating genius.

I wan't him to commit to a proper term (5 years). That way he can really get engaged with the rebuild for himself, rather than handing HIS team onto someoneelse when it is rebuilt.

I Don't like the 2 year extension but i understand that it was always unlikely to be longer.
If it were just one, we'd be having a different discussion.

I hope he takes a look at himself at the end of the season and figures out if he's able and up for another spin. I know he says he is but i dunno, it's a tough job. I don't want him to leave with the side struggling.

Football isn't just about winning titles though is it? otherwise most of us wouldn't be here still would we?

I don't understand what your point is. We're not the manager of the football club. The manager's job is to win titles. Pep's won more than any manager we've ever had and more than most managers who have managed at the top level full stop.

I keep reading people saying "Pep's got credit in the bank but..." - there's no but. He's got more credit in the bank than every other manager in the league put together. People seem to have memories like goldfish. We got 91 points last season and went on an insane run of winning games. The year before we won the treble. The year before we retained the title. The year before we won our third title in four years.

Not for the first time (not saying that you said it) someone has dared to put Pep's name in the same sentence as Arsene Wenger. Just shows that there are some people who either don't understand football, have a personal problem with Pep (yes those fellas exist), or aren't really City fans and are just on here to wind others up.

It isn't needed for me, we get enough shit from the outside without him cupping his ears to the fans, calling out our noise levels and support as he has done in the past. I would like to think he has forgotten more than I know, otherwise he would be in the wrong job. Especially as a paying fan I believe it is my right to openly talk about and discuss our successes and our failings. Saturday showed the good and bad of many decisions made this season. He has delivered and consistently too. We won't see these things ever again in my opinion but that doesn't give anybody a free pass.

Rubbish post regurgitating the same nonsense. I’ll repeat again , Pep has won 4 titles on the bounce. No one cares how upset you are at the drop off or the justification for your crying.
Repeated because you cannot reply to it, I am not crying, I am pointing out factual information about our performances this season. You like others are just happy for him to be here and want to say he is the reason for all of our success (he is) whilst not acknowledging this seasons mess. I won't repeat clear and obvious things that you don't want to see or engage in, not everyone agrees do they.

Wrong yet again. The comparison with Wenger is how a manager can be the top of their game, win titles and cups, go a season unbeaten and build fantastic sides without breaking the bank, to a laughing stock by the end of it. Pep is obviously better, he has achieved more and the comparison isn't on an achievement level. Jose was regarded as one of the best, winning multiple CLs, trebles amongst other things. Some managers do start to decline and I am not saying that has happened here, but it surely is a discussion point considering the levels this season is it not? If it is not then it shows it doesn't matter what has to happen, he should have a job for life off past achievements. Football doesn't work that way. Look at us with Mancini, look at Leicester. I am not saying sack him but accountability has to be had.

Learn what a fact is. Your subjective opinion about performance levels isn’t a fact.

League table suggests it is. Points total suggests it is but lets agree it is an opinion. You have a strong opinion that he can do no wrong which is fine, yet you call people names if they don't agree with that opinion. Odd

When the season is over City will be somewhere between 3rd and 4th. Off the back of 4 consecutive titles, that league table suggests that whilst people like you are crying about 'standards', Guardiola is actually setting them and retaining them. On almost every level your posts come off as myopic at best, and stupid at worst.

The club is more important than any individual manager or player. And when I say the club I don't mean winning. I mean performing. Moving in the right direction. Playing to a particular positive standard. Maintaining pride in the club.

We'd all support City on the down as much as on the up. At least we have in the past.

I am uttey disappointed in Pep this year because we played really poorly and seemed devoid of any progressive methods. I still love him and the players though. His disappointing performance this year takes nothing away from everything he accomplished before.

I hope those running the club have a plan for a post Pep existence and I hope until the changeover Pep revitalises.

I generally think that the sooner the replacement happens the better once you get to the sunset of a run. But if Pep stays longer then so be it and I cross my fingers that he improves us.

He is going though. Its just a matter of when so i dont get why some people are so critical of people considering life after Pep. I haven't seen anyone being disrespectful.

We are Manchester City supporters not Keegan, Royle, Pep, Reid, Mancini, Sven or Horton. I loved them all but each has his eventual day and it matters not in terms of appreciation and respect.

Again with the name calling because you cannot defend your nonsense with any kind of context. You have completely made up we will finish 3rd or 4th? Your argument is based on guesswork. Your argument is based on zero criticism based off past performance. If in your opinion it doesn't matter what he does, where we finish, whatever the downfall because of that then fill your boots. You can give your undying loyalty but my guess would be if we encounter another season like this one, we will have a new man in charge. I am not comparing it to standards he set, as a club we have standards and we will want to continually build and progress. Drop offs can happen, my whole point was how the best manager in the world could surely get more from this group, with 150m or so spent on it in January to boot too. With the team we have, extra investment made in January and the manager we have, performance wise I believe we can offer more. Shoot me

Spot on! If there was anyone else out manager this season with injuries we have had we be lucky to get top 6!
