TV Series

I actually bawled my eyes out at the end … haven’t done that since watching Schindlers List over 30 years ago!!!

Taylor Sheridan really is a wonderful writer/creator … Landman, Yellowstone, 1883 and 1923 all superb viewing.

Roll on 1944 sometime next year, hopefully led by Brandon Sklenar as an older Spencer Dutton.
After a City win yesterday you just made my night.
I didn't know there's another yellowstone spin off in the making can't wait for 1944 to hit the screens.

I watched the first series when it came out and thought it was brilliant. Original and compelling. I’m half way through the second series and to be honest it’s losing me. Some daft episodes that were pretty boring. Outdoor one in particular was crap. I’m hoping it picks up.
I keep dipping in and out, just don’t get it but I’m trying

Yeah, I didn’t want to get too specific for those who haven’t seen it yet. But that was one of the episodes I was referring to.

I compare it a bit to ‘The Fly’ episode in Breaking Bad. Where some people who like to think themselves as connoisseurs will insist it was absolutely essential to the plot, as it cemented the relationship between the two main characters.

But however essential and clever it might have been, it was just a bit boring. Same with this episode I think. It did reveal some things that were essential to the plot but just wasn’t particularly entertaining. Which is kind of the whole point of a TV series.

I have the finale left. Up to now it’s like they were contracted for 9 episodes but only had material for 3. Theres so much boring filler of unnecessary art shots or mumbled nonsense and then 3 minutes of actual story line every episode. Really poor follow up to series 1.

Season 2 of the last of us started this morning.

The Last of Us season 2 premiered on Sunday 13 April 2025 in the US. In the UK, it debuted on Monday 14 April at 2am. The episode was broadcast simultaneously on Sky Atlantic and Now, in line with its HBO release.3 hours ago

It’s funny how different people have different tastes! I really enjoyed both series from start to finish, even the long winded ORTBO to some extent.
I don’t know if it made a difference but I had to wait a week between episodes which may have helped build the excitement to get the answers to some of the questions

“From Scratch” on Netflix.
Mrs PJ wanted to watch it so I fell in line.
After 15minutes I rued my agreement but ended up binge watching four episodes.
A true story with brilliant acting from Zoe Saldana and a salutary tale in making sure you enjoy every day and don’t sweat the small stuff.

I’m gona have to mute ‘the last of us’ on Twitter as I want to binge them.

Not waiting week to week.

Only 7 episodes in S2 so end of May I can get stuck in.

Really enjoyed season one. I’m not a gamer so no I’ve idea what happens like everyone else does.

I'm the same fella but luckily I've got plenty of other stuff to watch.
One more episode of Daredevil Reborn, then on to the new series of Black Mirror, followed by The Pitt.
