Seat Counters - 2024/25

Surely someone you know or on here can help you get them mate
Thanks gk. Don’t mention the war! I posted over on the FA Cup forum enquiring about ticket sales and I got lynched - accused of being a Notts Forest fan. The truth is I’m from Ireland and have never been at a match before so will only ever meet the open sale criteria. I’ve contacted the ticket office and am hoping they’ll be able to do something for me.

You know what's disappointing about this whole saga is that we are Supports, and as such we should do everything to support the boys in blue.Ffs this is the semi final of the fa cup I could nt Care if we had been here 50 times in a row..I prioritise City and I will always find the money, some City fans need to give their heads a wobble
Some people refuse to go to the semis at Wembley, I know someone who’s stuck by that all along, including in 2011.
Some people cannot afford two Wembley trips in three weeks so will prioritise the final (granted we have to get there first).
The price of many peoples’ STs means they cannot afford a trip to Wembley.
Some people don’t have a season ticket but have just paid £71 for Villa at home plus £43 if they’re bringing their child along, so can’t afford Wembley in the same week.
Some people are saving up for the Club World Cup and may sacrifice Wembley trips this year to go to the USA.

If ticketing was cheaper all round for ST holders and matchday attendees, more people would go to Wembley. Even then, some people have the £399 Value Gold STs and that’s all they can afford full stop. No Cup games so not in Cup Schemes, no away games, just the £39.90 they pay a month for the ST plus travel to the game, and that’s the luxury in many peoples’ lives… trips to Wembley are well out of their reach.

We’ll end up taking around 28,000 fans on a trip to London (further than any of the other three teams have to go) when we have some of the most expensive ticketing in the country outside London to pay for outside that, when we’ve been there on 25 occasions (29 but four without fans) in the last 14 years, 7 times in the last 3 years alone, when the final is 3 weeks after the semi, with a month long trip to the USA coming up… that’s fucking good going and we should not be disappointed in ourselves or let other sets of fans knock us for it! I’ve been to Wembley more times than than some Rags I know have been to Old Trafford, yet they’ll message me ‘your fans are fucking shit, empty seats all over the place at Wembley’ and will miss the joke.

If we do get to the final, priority should be given to fans who went to the semi.
I'm a seasonticket holder who isn't going to the semi, but unfairly in my opinion, would easily qualify for the final so would affect me, but think it's only fair.
There will most likely be people at the semi-final who are attending their only match of the season so far. Should they really be ahead of you in the pecking order for the final?

Seats available on the planner:

  • Level 1 = 2,457
  • Level 2 = 853
  • Level 5 = 3,010
  • Total = 6,320
Blocks not release

  • 527 = 915
  • 528 = 1,159
  • 529 = 1,112
  • 530 = 1,054
  • 531 = 482 (as pointed out by fathelensbellend)
  • Total = 4,722
Allocation is 36,190 less 11,042 so sales are 25,148.

Lots of ups as well as downs on blocks and adding half of block 531 has reduced the sales figure. We will be very lucky if we sell 30k.

What about someone who’s been to Salford, Orient, Plymouth and Bournemouth but can’t make the semifinal due to work?

What if the semifinal is the first game someone has missed for a reason out of their hands for decades, and they have about 28,000 Loyalty Points?

I'd apply the condition to anyone who is a day tripper who has only bought tickets for the big games.

Pathetic

Yes
They are probably going to their only match because people like me are either choosing not to, or their circumstances mean they can't make it (affordability, work etc)
Unless it's because they live in London and can't afford to travel to Manchester for a normal matchday, then there are plenty of opportunities to get matchday tickets for the odd game at the etihad.
If they are a tourist, then likelihood is it would remain the only game they go to, so unlikely to deprive anyone of a ticket for the final.

So basically people should prioritise City over paying household bills , clothing their kids , putting petrol in the car or having enough for next weeks bus or train fare ? Believe it or not that’s the reality for quite a lot of people.
At the end of the day it’s twenty two highly paid blokes kicking a ball about.
Fortunately I can afford to go and will be going to the final if we get through.

Fair point, and agree there isn't a solution that suits everyone.
Could tweak it so that semi final attendees are in the same buying criteria as people on cup scheme, with loyalty point thresholds etc which would address the issue you raised.
Would you agree that a season ticket holder, who hasn't been to ANY fa cup games at home or the semi, would be ahead of people who went to the semi and/or earlier rounds?

Why - he smells like a Forest fan to me. No purchase history, only joined bluemoon a week after the quarter finals and wants to sit in the family area (ie low chance of getting beat up if sussed)
Great bit of research there although I’d give him the benefit of the doubt!

Everyone that has took the trouble to go to the semi final should get a ticket for the final simple as .
I don't care if it's thier first game or it's their 1000th game
I'm not going to the semi cos quite frankly I can't be arsed
And if we get to the final I certainly don't deserve one even tho I could get one quite easily.
That's life

This is me. I’m a tourist - in London for the weekend. It’s mad that it looks like there’ll be loads of empty seats in the stadium but I don’t fit any of the criteria for tickets.
