Season Tickets - 2025/26 | Changes to ticket transfer this season (p101)

That's not quite right. All junior tickets, with the exception of the new tier in the Anfield Road stand, cost £9.00. They have two sections at the top of their main stand where tickets for all ages are £9.00, but you must have an L postcode to qualify for one of them. Their most expensive non-corporate Premier League ticket for adults is £61.00, whilst our cheapest was £71.00 last night. I loathe Liverpool, but their ticketing policies put ours to shame.
I hate them as well and don’t agree with the £71. But the have less season ticket holders so they have more match day tickets available to sell so maybe that’s why they can sell the cheaper. Maybe that’s why city want to bring our season card numbers down

We had loads an available on Tuesday but still charged £71

Why not sell them cheap?

City want to bring season tickets down to sell for more for individual games, the evidence is there

Definitely. That’s why if you have a season card and can still afford it don’t give it up you’ll never get it back. And you’d need to be on your best behaviour in the ground as they’re only looking for the slightest excuse to get that card off you and ban you

Because they sold match day tickets for this match back in August, in the belief that we'd be challenging for honours against a fellow CL contender and that our Norwegian galatico would be playing. Oh, and it was a weekend game. So, they sold tickets at £71 then...

Their view is they can't sell seats next to each other at different prices as its not fair to those that did buy back in August.

Clearly a mistake, but a mistake made in August to sell all tickets that far in advance...

"
In order to create more flexibility for our fans, and to support the fulfilment of the new 16-match policy, 93:20, Gold and Platinum Season Ticket Members will be able to select up to three City fans who can receive their transferred tickets without requiring a membership.

All other recipients will be required to have an active, paid membership to help ensure our tickets are being used by other City supporters."

This statement reads as though they are giving an extra benefit and doing us a favour but this is a massive restriction that I feel is completely unjustified.

That means adding £35 on to the cost of a ticket if the buyer is coming for a one off game.

The person next to me has 2 seats with the second seat being used between his wife and daughter depending on who is available. He usually transfers it to the wife if the daughter is unavailable and said this change is going to force him to pay for a third membership. I had to show him you can have the pass on multiple devices (at the moment anyway!) so just get the pass on both wife and daughter devices and don't bother transferring it. These changes are going to punish people who aren't tech savvy or up to speed with any work arounds. Fleecing the vulnerable, standard UK theme at the moment!

That's exactly right. If they start selling off tickets cheap close to matchday people will hold back and compound the problem. In some ways Tuesday was a worse case scenario with it being rearranged, on telly and during the holidays. The vast majority of empty seats were non-attending season ticket holders.

Quite ridiculous that my ticket for which I would have got a £42 refund for would have been listed for £71+.

Of course it didn't sell and I ended up going to the match but the government would be all over this type of profiteering.

Just one teensy tiny little thing lads and lasses..... can we change the Dad and lad demographic to parents and children/kids..... some Mothers take their children (boys and girls) to the match and some parents take them together.

It is an old fashioned concept Dads and lads. Sorry to poke my nose in. :-)

Put whatever you.want on a banner if you pay for it next time, I doubt many mothers contributed to this one.

I wasn't meaning a banner, the only banner I've seen is one saying give us our club back or something. I was meaning a couple of posts on here. Gosh, you can't make a light hearted remark any more on here. I think I shall retire to a naughty corner.

Easy answer, just sell tickets at a honest price 5/6 weeks before the game.

All this Freddie Laker book early stuff and a mini second drop is so City can massage the amount of tickets available to members.

Thank you @dadnlad you knew what I meant and you could smile with me couldn't you? :-) I would never want you to change your name.

I guess all the angst about season cards and prices has meant some have lost their sense of humour. :-( :-)
