Fuck me, I started to read that post last Wednesday, it's now March 2026.
In fairness, I merely transcribed the article itself there.Nobody likes a talker.

if the tech is there, the VAR panel should not be watching the game, they are there to review and make a decision based on what they see in a replay, the replay should be simulated and the teams should not be identifiable if you get the drift, im sure that could be done with a few seconds from running live, therefore then they cant be looked upon as bent because they would have no idea who there making the decision for or against
Its a good idea, don't take it literally what he means is the pictures they see should be anonolysed so that any bias is removed, unfortunately the time it would take is far too longThe VAR shouldn’t be watching the game?
I’m not sure you’ve really thought this one through.
The Premier league will want more in return for extra funding.Pmgol is in debt now to the tune of 3.4 million over the last 3 years.
Ripe for corruption.
The money from GPC must have stopped.
Clear cut penalty for Palace , looking at refs posistion he had a sea of players in front of him to block him seeing the incident so couldn’t be sure, very quick VAR review and the right decision given. If only it was always this simple. Anyway, this is just exactly what I want.
There's 10 players well spread out in the penalty area so I can't see how neither Madeley nor his assistant had a clear view of the incident.
VAR is the devil's spawn and it's changing the way referees officiate. Madeley and his assistant effectively copped out of making the decision for what was a clear penalty for Palace and left it to VAR. Embarrassing officiating.
Once again everyone seems to think Refs have some amazing vision and would spot the right decision without VAR, he may have been swayed by the crowd and reaction and would likely have pointed to the spot, but we are guessing. It took a very short time for VAR to intervene and the ref saw a reply and gave the correct decision- it would have been criminal if that wasn’t a penalty but that’s the risk you take without VAR. I can understand why some welcome that.

The Brighton v Newcastle game was shown on delayed coverage here in NZ. Three 'penalty reviews' by VAR for the barcodes. What intrigued me was the length of time to agree with the handball (the third one) - it was so obvious in the screen shot that the player's arm was away from his body and had moved. How can they justify the number of reviews they took?
They'll be checking the wall is exactly 10 metres away next. They were also checking offside on that one.

Does anyone check that free-kicks that result in a goal are actually taken from the right place to the mm? It's a matter of fact in the same way offsides apparently are.
Remember that goal where the **** picked up the foam and moved it a couple of feet after the wall had set and then scored through the unprotected space. Where were facts to a mm then?
It's all bollocks.
There was a goal at the weekend, Bournemouth possibly, but not sure, where they scored from a long throw taken about 15 yards from where the ball went out of play.
Inexplicable why the linesman didn’t get involved as it was in his half. But VAR can’t get involved in restarts.

It's just Wenger banging on about the same shit for a long time. Introducing such a change would make holding a high line even more difficult and risky than it already is now.Oh, FFS. They are at it again. Solving a problem that didn't exist until they introduced technology by changing the laws again. It's exhausting.
