No it isn't as every away league match has sold out.
I am quite aware of where the supporters clubs late tickets come from when the last minute emails come from Mr Parker and if you want me to tell you I will and it would be very unpalatable for certain people.
Rest assured they are not surplus from the loyalty point holders scheme
I like unpalatable truths....spill the beans

This is a club that makes record profits every year, massively overcharging a mainly working class fanbase, with very little benefit on business grounds.

If this were a concert then I'd agree but football doesn't work on normal laws of supply and demand. I know lads who if the choice came down to Brentford away or paying their gas bill, then they're not paying their gas bill. We don't have empty seats because of lack of demand, we have empty seats because people very literally cannot afford to go. Not that they might be a bit skint, that they do not possess the liquidity to afford it.
I'm absolutely sick to death of football clubs claiming they're community projects and special exemptions when it benefits them, and then turning into ultra revenue chasing businesses when that benefits them. They need to pick one. And I think Manchester City is a community football club based in East Manchester and built by and for the people of Manchester primarily. I think this because that's what they tell politicians and taxmen and all others that they are.

And frankly, I don't really give a shit about the politics of it all when it comes down to it. I give a shit about the fact that I can barely afford to take my own kids to a family tradition and they certainly won't be able to afford to take theirs. This isn't a TV show for me. It's not like going to the theatre, it's about securing the next generation and the one after that to have the same opportunities that I did, my Dad did and my Grandad did.

Here's what I've recognised, apparently WAY ahead of some others who will work this out in coming years. What's happening now has nothing to do with ticket revenue. What they're doing is a replacement exercise. They are purposely getting away with the most expensive ticket prices possible because they WANT you not to able to afford it. They WANT you to lose tickets. They don't WANT your kids on season tickets they can afford.

They want to a move to an American model, they want to move to a tourist model. As @Prestwich_Blue very cognisciently said about 8 years ago now, it's much more beneficial for the club to sell 40,000 seats at £150 a pop then 60,000 at £40 a pop. Look at the Camp Nou's historical attendances. They don't care about being full, that's a bad thing to them, it means they outsold demand.

As I've said elsewhere, we're not in a negotiation with City here. Our goals are not aligned. They want to remove "legacy fans". We're in a fight for our entire footballing culture and we still get people sniping from the sidelines instead of standing on a concourse for a few minutes.
100% correct. Agree with every point, and I am a London Blue who is lucky enough to both have the points, flexability and the resources to go home and away for almost every game and have had a season ticket since the mid-80s, and I am also only 10 mins from Wembley.

But it's not about me - it's about everything to do with what this Club has become, supporting our legcay fans as they are being squeezed out, trying to battle for the connection between generations and standing against the tide of what football may eventually become...

To those on here who think this is all 'moaning' - that's your right. But please don't allow City Football Group (which is initself - such an horrific concept) - to think they can do this without a fight - even if we lose.

It's a fucking joke but thousands of empty seats last weekend means the club will ditch tickets where they can to avoid a repeat less than three weeks later.
Might as well sell via the touting agencies as a tourist who attends just one game is as much of a supporter as an alleged City fan who attends just one game.
These tickets should have been on sale for the best part of a week already.

How hard is it,

FA Cup Final, 2 teams.

17/05/25

Kick Off time should be confirmed months ago!

A week lost and 11 days to sell 85k before the day of the match.

It's a monumetal fuck up by the FA, who decided the FA Cup final is 3 weeks after the Semi Finals anyway?

2 sets of supporters shelling out for 2 Wembley trips in 3 weeks!

Imagine all the events they hold at Wembley apart from football.
I bet concerts etc are not arranged and sold with the event time not being known until 2 weeks before.

Heads should fucking roll at the FA for this shitshow!

I’m driving and parking at Wealdstone.
Parking £7.50.
Overground return to Wembley Park for 2, about £30.
Petrol probably £50.
Sandwiches and snacks maybe £20.
A few pints and a burger, maybe £20.
2 tickets for me and my lad (aged 23), £100 to £250 (hopefully 2x £50).
Programme £10.
So, maybe about £240 at the cheapest, £400 at the most, creating memories with friends and family, following City.
It only cost me £4.40 return from Ruislip to Wembley Park at the semi final1st time in 28 visits I did it this way and saved a few quid from normal trips down there.

It's just pure contempt for normal match going fans and that's always been the case, not just here but worldwide too. Look at how they're treated in every champions league final, like some sort of beggars who've gatecrashed a private party.

Fans have to get organised and stage a one days strike. One weekend no fans. It would send shockwaves throughout football and they'd soon realise without fans there is no game.

I dont think theres a lot of difference West v East myself but others seem to think so.

Im in Watford again but staying over Sat night this time.
Sun in your eyes, should it be a good day, otherwise, I agree

I noticed some hotel prices have dropped, probably Villa fans who pre booked cancelling and as we're playing Palace they're not being filled. For example the Wembley High road Travelodge was quoting £265 just for the Saturday night. Now you can book Friday and Saturday night for £245.
Coming back from the semis.i managed to get a room for £60..absolute fccking result. Lol

No he is actually correct.

The whole enrertainment industry is going overboard with prices, be it thaetre, cinema, concerts, sports including football, there is a widening disparity between reasonable pricing and extortionate fees many woth added charges.

Concerts for example, a ticket can be advertised at £45. but will be in fact £20 more with agent, venue fees etc

Cinema peices have jumped to ridiculous amounts from pre Covid.

Many people with do these activities are doing so on a regular basis and lime football you don't abandon you favourite band(s) or miss a tour.

So itnis time people started saying we won't be fleeced anymore, or we can carry on and belittle anyone unwilling to conform and pay what they are told to.
Supply and demand dictates prices not some global conspiracy to fleece the working man

Why do some, usually old, people think they have a God given right to always pay what they’ve always paid and always travel how they’ve always traveled etc etc

The world changes, either move with it or don’t

No it's fuckers just saying exactly this and accepting it that's the problem. No backbone to fight and take some short term pain for long term gain.

I forgot to add selfishness to my post. The I'm alright Jack attitude, or the similar crap spouted that you can catch a Megabus for £25, ignoring how gruelling and tedious travelling that way is, then buy the cheapest available ticket that will be so far up.in.the god's you'd have been better off watching it on the telly. Sure it can be done and some do it but probably only because their funds are tight. Thankfully I can afford to travel by train and afford a hotel and better seat but it won't stop me fighting for better deals and conditions for those that can't.

The OSC have mopped up spare tickets that others haven’t wanted for years, springs and roundabouts really
What pisses me off,I'm ST holder,on the FA cup scheme, which I mistakingly thought gave me priority, does it bollocks,I'm from Northern Ireland, and still have friends in the OSC clubs, and I can tell you fact, the Portadown branch applies for 0..yep 0..they have applied for 10 for final got..indeed i believe, ever single person, applying via OSC,have been approved, priority for me,bollocks..and people wonder why,I get angry

I fuckin hate saying this - but the fact there's only 3 weeks between the semi and the final isn't solely on the FA.
This is the culmination of greedy clubs agreeing to playing more games in European competitions and creating a 32 team club world cup (lower case deliberately there).
There's zero wiggle room in the calendar.
Just wait for the next season where bad weather fucks up FA cup games - then it'll be "fuck the draw the game gets played where there's undersold heating so we can make sure it goes ahead" (in 1986 Altrinchams game at Birmingham in the third round was rearranged 3 times if I remember correctly)

I agree it's a shitshow, but heads won't roll if they've screwed an extra few bob from the broadcasters. Armchair fans take priority these days.
