I take it the club aren't moving on match day ticket prices, which is probably the fans biggest issue and concern, amongst many.

Have the directors given CMR any indication at all that they are going to review match day ticket prices in the light of 1000's of empty seats towards the end of this season, and with a further 8000 seats to fill halfway through next season?

Believe it or not, it’s not about constantly attacking the directors, it’s wanting the directors to acknowledge the issue of empty seats that can be filled with CIty fans, who are desperate to see the team play, if ticket prices were more affordable for them. Only the directors and Khaldoon can make that happen, if they want to make that happen?

1000+ SSL3 away seats priced at £30 always sell out, even for midweek matches, when City fans buy them. The seats in the next block in the City end priced at £71 don't sell out. It's not hard to understand why that happens. The difference is £41, and another £30 ticket, with £11 pound remaining for 2 pints inside the ground.

That should happen but if it doesn’t I would still reduce the ticket prices to £30 anyway. If other Bkues get a better deal then so be it IMHO

Unfortunately, the Club seem to be determined to press ahead with the ten-game policy. I've passed on over 80 correspondences to the Club that have come my way, such is the level of concern, and I would encourage anyone else who is worried to get in contact. Likewise, if you someone would like to raise their circumstances with the Club directly, I believe that the Access Team (access@mancity.com) will be dealing with exemptions.

As the renewal information somewhat implied, the Club have recognised the need for exemptions. From the emails that I have seen that the Club have sent out to worried individuals, the gist seems to be that they will flag an individual's account with the relevant information and that the Club will have a conversation should someone not make the policy. I would much rather that individuals are able to secure an exemption in advance, which would save an awful lot of distress and worry.

The Club also provided reassurance as to how the exemptions policy would be administered, which was welcome. That said, I have to raise a number of cases where the Club have at first acted poorly to individuals this season over the fourteen game policy or issues with direct debits. Thankfully, I believe that these cases have been, or will be, resolved satisfactorily for the supporters involved, but it doesn't fill me with confidence about this moving forward.

The other point to raise is that reassurance to City Matters is all well and good, but more importantly, the Club need to be sharing exact information on the process via their own channels and fast, given that renewals run until 11 May.

In the same way that if you don't attend the Atherton Community Theatre then your opinions on who should play the lead in Othello isn't relevant at all.

And your opinion of the effective tax rate in Namibia isn't relevant unless you actually pay taxes in Namibia or are involved in their economy.

Ticket prices are also in the interest of those who don't go. I'll explain a few reasons.

1) If you give them away free because money=bad, then those "tourists " as you so disrespectfully label, with money will never be able to buy them because the ground will be instantly and permanently full of people with no money to spend on pies, beer, the club shop, etc.
It's Ryanair. You can always get a seat on the plane because they have dynamic ticketing which allows for dynamic demand.
You'll seriously affect match day revenue.

2) if you set the price too high, the opposite happens and the ground becomes half empty on match day which (holy shit, imagine) affects everyone's experience. In particular, the optics are fucking awful, something that affects every supporter for obvious reasons.

To prove a point, you seem obsessed with price. Price is just one aspect of ticketing. There are far more important reasons to be unhappy with ticketing.
Example: Allocation. If you've cash (and lots of people do) then availability is key. Seeing swathes of empty seats from missing ST holders yet you can't get a ticket for your lad for love or money is a real pisser.


I know this baffles you, that as a season ticket holders, nobody else is important but the club is a holistic entity and is better when it is more than the sub of it's parts.

You actually should be protesting about ticketing policy. That way everyone can and should have a say.

I was listening to the BM podcast this weekend and the guests were on hot coals, tiptoeing around the issues of protests (which are not just about pricing btw).
It was painful listening.
The problem: Season ticket holders hoarding and no shows.

I've no issues calling out either those who do that, or the club for allowing it and not providing sensible solutions. We can't be the only club in the league who have this issue.
Both sides need to be better in this.

you are still buying into the myth that there's a need to increase match day revenue even though it's driving people away. there's enough money in football as it is, we have had a price freeze and stands back in amazement haaland is still getting paid his half a million a week even though we were told match day revenue HAS to go up to pay for haaland. the club will not go broke and it will be able to compete very strongly.

people know exactly what they are protesting about and more importantly the club knows why too, it's a battle of wills and thd club don't want to lose face so will only give small concessions bit by bit.

they have reduced the bournemouth home tickets on the quiet, for adults and for juniors and oaps which is admitting prices are too high and that fans aren't buying in to their levels of "customer care". they've got all aspects of ticketing wrong and the ryanair example is nonsense, if the plane is full you can't get on, if there are empty seats in the ground it's because the prices are too high. if a season ticket holder can't go and sells the ticket back to the club, the club cannot sell the ticket as they have priced it too high.
