Reform 2025 Limited new name same business

When the wind doesn't blow and the sun doesn't shine we import at least 30% of our electricity from abroad. Explain that, ****.
What has that got to do with absolutely anything I have said?
That has absolutely no relevance to any statement I have made, to which you have replied "absolute drivel"
I have asked to prove what I said is not correct and you are unable to do so. What you replied with has absolutely no bearing on any comment I have made.
As I said, either prove me wrong (which you can't) or shut the fuck up.

Are you Milibands unknown brother? Complete and utter drivel. If they are so cheap why do they need subsidising resulting in bills 30% higher.
He means it is cheaper to produce. Which it is, if we have the infrastructure it would also be cheaper on bills too. Energy companies would go out of business, lots of pensions affected, shareholders out of pocket etc.... lots of lobbying and fake news stories (I think) prevent us moving towards greener energy. But it is cheaper to produce.

Whatever power you are relying on from renewables needs the equivalent in backup from either nuclear, fossil or bought in from abroad, that's a fact.

Which has absolutely nothing to do with what you are arguing about. It also has nothing to do with Reform suggesting that they will try to prohibit investment in solar farms.
You can't have back up from Nuclear. Nuclear has to operating all the time.

Your statement actually empaphises my point.
We actually import renewable energy from Scandanavia via the North Sea and Viking Links, because it is cheaper than generating electricity in this country via the methods you wish to employ.

The sun is always shining. You seem to have a fundamental misunderstanding of how solar panels work.
They do work best in direct sunlight the photons jump about a bit more, last week solar provided almost 16% of our electricity supply which has got to be good news in anybodies book. only trouble being we do need fossil fuel back up capacity at least for the foreseeable future. The less we have to burn obviously better for us and the planet only beef I've got is we have these fossil fuels in the UK why the fuck aren't we continuing to exploit them inside of bringing them in. We have some of the best coal in the world but when British steel needed coking coal we have to fetch in from Australia work that one out.

So what?
If a gas fired power station is on standby it’s not burning gas which is the whole point of using renewables. If gas consumption is reduced by 70% because it’s only needed when there’s no wind then that’s 70% less CO2 being released. It’s not rocket science.

Natural resource energy power equals less profit and control by the corporates. Hence why it's "Too expensive"
Energy is too expensive because it’s charged at the price of the most expensive fuel in the mix which these days is gas. No one’s managed to explain why that pricing formula can’t be changed.

I’ve changed my mind, I don’t think tweety is a nuclear physicist.
