Having now watched a few games where McTee starts or plays at least 30 minutes... I'm not a fan. McTee excels at getting into position to score. Unfortunately, he also excels at not scoring from clear scoring opportunities.

I'm puzzled why you draw this inference...
Haaland is clearly world class.
Whereas Mcatee is an upcoming offensive player who shows some talent but who is awful at finishing.
Haaland excels at getting into great positions but misses a fair number of chances as well. Were McAtee a first-team regular, playing in a side with confidence and fluidity, and so awful at finishing, I’d have greater concern.

Haaland's return on expected goals is historically excellent - he's having an off year.
McAtee - however - has never shown great form in front of goal.

Absolutely miles off the required level to play for city, doesn't impose himself and has an obvious trait of going missing and offers very little when on the ball. Cash in.

Games: 197
Goals: 67
Assists: 37

Not too shabby for an attacking midfielder.
You're using U23/U18 stats to make a point about him being an apparent goal threat playing for city at premier league level?

His stats in the premier league:

48 games
6 goals
3 assists

Since it is obvious that we cannot get Wirtz, it would not be bad to offer him for another package from Bayer

Frimpong
Palacios

name it

No, I was using his statistics from his time at the club to respond to the proposition that ‘he has never shown great form in front of goal’.

Well that's certainly the case in the premier league... the level at which he's currently playing at.

With due respect, the fact you're having to use youth stats only backs up that point further.

I was using those statistics to support the point that he is a player who has always had a nose for goal, much like Bobb, no more no less.
