I know what you’re saying, but when can you say “we should be winning today” without it sounding arrogant playing against a team like Southampton, no disrespect but they have conceded 80+ plus goals and have 11 points.

Ohh I am with you mate we should be confident, but when we don't get the result (We should really) we shouldn't be raggish and we should give our opponents SOME credit for keeping us out.

Not everything is cut and dried it's what makes football so unpredictable and I know you know that.

Some are saying that they could do better than Pep and that we should play the same team every week, stupid statements really.

Some people are claiming getting a win in the premiership is easy, a foregone conclusion.

Now that's arrogant isn't it? No respect for your opponent? Raggish?

Shit happens but our performance was awful, especially in the 1st half. We had 2 attempts after 30 minutes in a must win game against one of the worst teams in PL history. That's pathetic.

Criticising the performance is fine, but when you get posters saying they can do better than Pep and that it's "Easy" is arrogant and raggish.

Just say we weren't at it today and that we shouldn't just EXPECT to win, all that with no respect for the opponent who had nothing to lose because the trapdoor is already open for them.

For the first time since his arrival I'm worried about Pep. He tries to be nice to players who are off form or just not good enough. Both his line-ups and in-game management are questionable.
That's what's most concerning to be honest - he's NEVER been like that previously.
Ask Yaya (when he left Barca), Ibrahim.... and several others even at City.
That ruthless streak isn't there currently, I hope he can find it soon

Should have been very easy. No doubt.

They can't do better than Pep, but he was unprofessional today, expecting an easy win and leaving on the bench players who are currently better than those who started. Waiting 83 minutes to sub Omar on was madness.

Guess his reasoning was that today is the best chance to give starts to the likes of Foden, McAtee and Lewis. That was arrogant and might cost us big time. The next 2 league games are much more difficult, at least on paper.

If Pep was to be ruthless, we would have 3 or 4 players left. Shambles of a squad provided to Pep

Nope, if it was that easy every manager would be winning, being a fickle entitled bunch when it isn't working makes us look small time.

Is that where we are at now?
So we view people as entitled for thinking Pep shouldn't have changed A winning team & for being disappointed with drawing against the already relegated joint worst Premier League team in history?

It's arrogant to think it's easy and posters on here to think they can do better than Pep.

Arrogant doesn't even come close.

Watching the match today was like being in a '24 time warp.

Compress the opposition into the 20yd box and walk it in.
No plan B.

I can't remember the number of games where this has appeared to be the game plan and it's fell flat on its arse.

We were VERY lucky with these tactics against Villa.
I still don't know how we beat Wolves. It was the same turgid shit as today.

Would the club hire Pep anew if they were told this was his tactical bedrock?

I don't think so.

If we were to try and let the pitch breath a little and get teams on gameplay after realising that thro'-the-wall wasn't working, you could give Pep some slack but we've seen this film before.
It's Xmas 2024 again.

It's a genuine worry to me why we do this.

The worst thing is that after this poor performance everyone knows some players shouldn’t start the next game but Pep will pick his favourites again and his subs will bail him out. This should tell Pep who he should start relying on but worryingly it won’t.

Means fuck all, instead of being raggish we should say they defended well and move on. Pep won us 4 titles on the trot and now we have a lynching party because we drew at Southampton?
You must be new to the thread.

I've been coming in here for a few months now and every time we drop points he's lynched, despite us being the second best team in the league since new year.

Fuck knows what it was like in November and December when we actually were shite.

Some of the stuff posted in here is so toxic I'm convinced half of them are rags in disguise.

The fact they can't see it is a screamer, some have criticised todays team or tactics that's fine but to say they could do better than Pep that's a bit past the pale.

Pep set his standards high, that high that others who live vicariously through him believe that they can do better :)

Tbh not a single person has suggested they could do better than Pep, why you are forcing that view I don't know.
