Morgan Gibbs-White

What makes you think Pep will improve him? Has he improved Grealish, Doku, Sav, Nunes, Lewis. I could add more .
Yes, I think he has, made Grealish the player we needed to win the treble.Doku slow progress but he is becoming more aware, save Savinho. Nunes is better than last season and Lewis, was better next to Rodri, and has maybe stalled without Rodri.
Speak to anyone in football, almost all ex players he coached ,coaches even pundits good and bad they will say Pep improves players.
So those things apart not much reason to think he improves a player.

I would argue Kalvin Phillips was better for Leeds and England than what MGW is for Forest.

Got many pelters for calling Phillips shite before we signed him

- He was slow, Leeds almost didn't sign him because of it
- Awful in the air
- Didn't create fuck all
- Couldn't play lone 6
- Injury prone to top it off

It was a braindead signing from the start, pant well and truly pulled down.

Imo Gibbs-White is far superior, in almost every sense.

I think Zlatan might disagree with you.

Fairly low bar you are working to then

I’m a big fan of Grealish and will never class him as a flop due to his contribution in the treble winning season. But he’s been underwhelming to say the least and hasn’t lived up to his price tag.

I think he lacks the arrogance to stand out in a side like ours.
I couldn't name you one player that's cost £100m+ that's lived up to the price tag

Decent enough squad filler but no more than that imo.
Put it this way, if any of our rivals got him instead, i wouldn't be concerned in the slightest

If any other club were signing him, especially for the numbers being discussed, we would all be laughing at them.

Too many on here in my opinion are trying to find anything they can get a hold of to justify him coming in because of the blind love and trust they have towards the club.

Time will tell, but I think this one goes the same way as Nunes and Phillips.

People on here actually posting has Pep improved players...

I don't know what has happened to Bluemoon but it is now absolutely full of miserable cunts, negative beyond belief and who derive absolutely no joy from watching City unless they're moaning and criticising something.

6 seasons as a senipr plater, 3 of them he was semt on loan to the chapionship with no team he went to picking him up, 2 season before this at forest where he was ok in relegation battles, but never ripped up any trees

This season in a much more solid and counter attacking team he has done fime but again hardly breaking into the team of the season.

This isn't entitlement from people it is assessing his career and not seeing how he improves us or fits our style of play.

Next year is no time for one of Peps experiments on moulding player i to new things like he has been doing to Gvardiol, Lewis and O'Reilly in the last few seasons and buy player we need in the positions we are weakest

Goalkeeper
Replacement for kev
new LB
new RB
prolific goalscoring midfileder/right winger

MGW doesn't fit any of them and in ORielly in his real postion, Kova pushed up, a hoppefully rejuvinated Foden and Rodri/Gonzo being able to play box to box for the fee just smacks of another philips.
I’m not suggesting for one minute we sign him, just all this disappointment about Wirtz, clearly Rodri missing has had a massive impact on the whole balance of the squad but watching that yesterday highlights no pace and energy until we brought on Marmoush and Doku, let’s hope Foden does come back into form and we can compete on all fronts again

I don't understand the self entitlement shite.

Not rating Gibbs White and wanting a better quality player doesn't make anyone entitled.

It seems the biggest appeal is he brings plenty of energy. Soucek has covered the most ground out of anyone this season. Would you be happy if we signed him?
Nope as he’s only marginally quicker than Bernardo, just highlighting the Wirtz disappointment, yesterday there was no intent until Doku and Marmoush came on, add Rodri and perhaps give Oreilly a chance may give the added energy we need to what’s on show at the moment, let’s hope Pep has a rethink for Saturday after yesterday

It’s just how social media works. Unless everything is perfect, moaning and anger takes over.

There’ll be a Make City Great Again thread created soon.

People love to moan.

From what I recall, Dias was always close to the top of our list, but he was totally unavailable until Benfica lost their CL qualification tie and suddenly needed to sell at the end of the summer window, which is why the signing seemed out of the blue.
The reports around Dias were that he was a “wildcard” he was really young, extremely aggressive and was a born leader. But we didn’t had a single strong link until after Leicester beat us 5-2. That pushed the club to pull the trigger.

Any English player who shows a modicum of form is overhyped. In part it's due to the shortage of English players in the Premier League and our jingoistic Press needing to write about something. The bar of excellence for them is very low. Look at the coverage for Mason Mount in the press this morning. It was like the second coming. Extending the point also look at the media love in with Jude Bellingham.
He’s right uno. The English media is genuinely insane. Phillips was hyped up to the moon. They called him Yorkshire Pirlo.

We are becoming a club full of self entitlement fan base, we need energy and pace in the team as it was prime walking football yesterday, no one is a cert to do well and some players surprise, everyone was getting giddy about Wirtz, how do we know he would have even adapted to the prem? Havertz was the next big thing in Germany and how has he turned out? we have been blest for the past few years with some the the finest players ever, and for me irreplaceable, I’ll support whoever pulls of the blue shirt and always have done!
You clearly haven’t watched this kid. Before his ACL he was considered the hottest kid on the block. Even after such a crazy injury he exceeded expectations and personally dethroned a club that won 10 in a row. At that young age ? He scored the finals goal to win them the league. I don’t want to hype up player we’re not getting but he’s literally generational. He’s not Kev but it’s the closest thing we could’ve had. Idc what anyone says I would put money on it. He was gonna bang like a Haaland, Dias, KDB.
