Tijjani Reijnders

This is coming from the same source who gave me the early heads-up about Wirtz. That said—as we all know—transfers are incredibly volatile. Circumstances can change overnight, and until we hear it from the club’s mouthpiece or get that definitive “Here we go,” nothing is guaranteed. Everything outside of that should be viewed as hopeful speculation, not confirmation. Optimism is good—essential, even—but we need to stay grounded until the real signals come through.

I genuinely hope we land both Wirtz and Reijnders. That would be a real statement of intent—a double injection of technical brilliance and tactical intelligence right into the heart of our midfield. But hope doesn’t get deals over the line—action does. The club needs to follow through with clarity and conviction and they seem to be from these leaks. As I said, Reijnders is willing and ready—the fee is the only obstacle City has to meet their valuation, and Milan have made their position clear. As for Wirtz, I hope he's on board too, because securing them both would show we’re not just watching talent—we’re going out and getting it.

No point getting worked up about it. The transfer window will do what it always does: separate the wheat from the chaff, the frauds from the genuinely plugged-in, the chancers from the ones who actually land their hits. Let's just watch it all unfold.

Brilliant lol

He would be a perfect signing to replace Gundi. But we need to bring more am alongside him. Please be Wirtz...

@David Silva

I don’t know how true this is, but apparently, our ideal targets this summer were two dynamic 8s and a creative 10—specifically MGW as one of the 8's, not 10, Reijnders, and Wirtz. That was the blueprint the club seemed to be working from. Clearly, there were plans in motion to make space in the midfield to accommodate those potential incomings if they landed the targets.

At the same time, there was an understanding internally that the market is volatile, and not every deal goes through as expected. So while those names were top of the list, the club was prepared to remain flexible and course correct if necessary. The intention was there—now it’s all about execution and how well we adapt to shifting circumstances.

Makes a lot of sense if Bernardo & Kova are on the way out also. Gundo remains and can play a much reduced role akin to final season Ferna or Yaya.

Serious amount of work for Viana to bring it all together though & that’s without taking the overseas/homegrown list juggling into consideration.

.............Rodri............
....Tijjani..............Wirtz.....

That instantly puts us back in the game to challenge for the league.

Sort the full back positions out and ask Eddie what he wants. If he wants to go, shake his hand and try for Donnaruma.
We wouldn’t just be top dogs in england, but internationally as well. Our midfield would be the best again, and as you said, with two quality fullbacks, we'd be unstoppable.

Dinnaruma is nowhere good enough with his feet lining up Diogo Costa as Eddies replacement

FWIW Romano confirming the report from earlier today that we are interested in Reijnders

going to be busy last day of transfer window

Maybe Viana says sorry Pep, you're only going to be here 2 more years- I have to think longer term. Imagine
Not a chance when it comes to a keeper being good with their feet, besides the next manager will be cut from the same cloth.

With the Club World Cup on the horizon, I suspect the club will aim to wrap up most of our key transfer targets well before the tournament kicks off—or at the very least, avoid getting dragged into another chaotic last-day frenzy. There's too much at stake in terms of preparation, integration, and tactical rhythm heading into a high-stakes season. Early business would allow new signings to settle, gel with the squad, and hit the ground running. Ideally, we’ll see a proactive, decisive window rather than a reactive scramble. But hey, we will never know for sure, the transfer window tends to get wild!

Txiki is staying for the summer as well though I thought. Maybe one ,probably Txiki would work on outgoings to make sure we have room to bring players in, that might too simplistic though.

Doubt that’s possible, we can’t buy many until we know for sure the spaces we will have, and most players that could be leaving well all except KDB,can’t leave before the CWC.
