PL charge City for alleged breaches of financial rules

I don’t for one minute not believe that we know we have been exonerated fully, my guess would be that there’s been a mutual agreement for the decision to get announced after the Prem has finished. No way on earth we are courting players like Wirtz without being able to “tell” them it’s all gone away.

i cant see how they could keep it quiet

I stridently predict this thread will be locked by the time the next PL season starts.

Although by then I expect the retribution thread will be at least 700 pages.

Would have loved to spend a day in the hearing, as long as I got to choose which day. Some of them would have been boring as fuck. But some of the days would have been gripping.

Like any job, you only get better by observing people who are better than you. And there is no shame in not being the best at what you do.

Ridiculous to suggest otherwise.

My belief is the same as it has been since day one. I don't believe that the PL have anything on us and have been asking/telling us to provide them with the information/evidence they need to convict us.

The club have told them there is no evidence because they have done nothing wrong and they have already submitted all the documentation that they're legally obliged to provide to the PL (when I say "legally", I mean in relation to whatever documentation the PL rules state that we have to provide in the normal course of business as a league member. That doesn't actually make it a legal requirement under the law of course).

But because the PL don't have the info they need and we can't/won't give them any they'll find us guilty of the same thing UEFA did. There might be a couple of minor misdemeanours thrown in to try to justify their actions but I don't think it will be much more than that. My biggest gripe is every other club fan will insist it's all just a cover up and that we've paid them off.

Are we innocent or are we just going to get away with it? We'll probably never know for sure, but my stance is that there isn't a single shred of evidence anywhere to be seen and I think that's virtually impossible if you consider how many people would have had to have been involved and the sums involved so I'm backing my club.

After 10,000 pages, that's probably a pretty good summary.

Certainly our owners have had years to accept whatever has been thrown at them by a biased PL so despite it's cost legal action has been the only way to change things.
As long as PL members are bribed more than their share of the financial costs a salami of partial but still illegal rule changes may continue.

Perhaps an insistence on legal validation of rules or rule changes before Club votes would stop this.?
