I do remember we had a stonewall penalty against Chelsea on Sterling before. Stray kick swept Sterling off his feet in the box. On-field ref somehow missed it, but guess who's the VAR? Stuart Atwell. It's not about that. It's the principle of rules being applied evenly and fairly.So that's what its come down too. We need a sending off to help put Crystal Palace to bed. How the mighty have fallen.
Nobody wants to see a sending off, unless it's a dipper or rag, but once the rules are decided on fuzzy logic, the game is gone.
This decision is a big moment in football. It demonstrated that the image is more important than the rules.
The media run the game in this country, now. And you should be very worried about that.

Teams don't want to play open, attacking football against City. They have worked out a strategy against us, and when faced with such negativity, it is always going to be really difficult to fashion a chance or avoid being hit on the break. Pep will work out a way of beating such negative teams, but he needs a fully fit squad. 4 PL trophies on the bounce is a phenomenal achievement, but this season was always going to be a stretch with our main playmaker being out so early on and having to readjust.

Even fucking Ian Wright said it was disgraceful decisionPretty much every fan and pundit acknowledged it was not just a red, but one of the most obvious reds you'll see. The 'mitigation' of Erling being pushed out wide and hence, not a clear goalscoring opportunity is hilarious as the handball is why he was pushed out wide. The Rashford goal and this are two of the most egregious examples of, at best, gross incompetence and at worst, gross negligence
