I don’t know, I don’t think it’s as simple as getting rid of Doku n Sav and then we can compete, I see it as we need a change in playing style, then buy the players to suite however we want to play, atm it’s too slow and turgid in central defence and midfield for instance that needs to change.Do they have pace, real pace?
Doku is incredibly quick over a couple of meters but not on longer runs, Savinio is far too happy to pass the ball rather than take on his FB.
We can do better than both for me especially if we want to compete.

Was at the game yesterday saw nothing from either of them to change my mind we paid a lot of money for average players. They are inferior to players we’ve had before e.g. Mahrez Sane etc. these guys will get max 3 or 4 goals a season and not the 17/18 previous incumbents would have contributed. Doku makes all the wrong decisions like he did last season and both failed to win any 50/50 balls again. We can do better and buy betterDo they have pace, real pace?

I'll definitely keep Doku. He has a unique skill set that can ve deadly in a very good squad.There Is an argument they both should leave, are either good enough for an elite club?
Doku for me is a great 20 min impact player but that's it.

He has actually improved. The coaching and playing around him has deteriorated..Deadly no chance with his decision making. Last season and this he’s the same not a chance he improves
He actually hits the target more with his shots this season and his crossing has improved.
He is a definite keep for me as a backup

He is undefendable by 1 player. In a quick passing team he'd create havoc. But on Pep's sluggish 'lwr the center backs knock it around system ' the opposition is ready to double him every time, because they want him to pass it back to the threat-free Center backs. Which he had to often.
In games whee we have actual midfielders running the plays, he is so much better and harder to contain.
If you can consistently dedicate 2 players to anyone without suffering any consequences in other areas, that player will be stopped. Cant blame Doku for yesterday. He was a victim of our system and performance.
Thos is not to say he doesn't have his weaknesses, he does. He just has some unique traits too. And I'd like to keep those.

I think you put Doku in any of those other teams and he'd have been a star. He isnt the goal scorer Sterling or Mahrez were but hed have created a boat load with the type of spaces they got.But we've purposely changed the way to accommodate them. I think its really hard to compare eras. Coz in parts of that era, we had the best teams, and beat teams with better individuals consistently.
Now we are in an wra where we need the best individuals at almost every position ro overcome other teams.
Just a different level of coaching in my opinion.
